Is that tough? Did you have hundreds of CDs worth stored on it?

I had that too once,
putting almost 20 gig back on my zen too me a long time :(
I had about 250 cd stored at the time, luckily I triple back up my mp3's, I would never ever like to re-rip everything

Ad Absurdum 09-21-2005 01:54 PM

Haha yeah, it sucks having to put everything back on again. It doesn't take me too long because I only have about 13 gigs (just less than half) of my Zen full, but I end up doing it quite alot because whenever I rip CDs I forget to put them on my mp3 player and I confused as to what's on it and end up just sticking everything on it again.

 That sounds exactly like something some of my friends would do. Except, my friends would intentionally do it to laugh at me.

I know what you are talking about!
that's why I made a special folder with albums that I have to put on to my Zen

I have my pc harddisk, with the stuff on it I listen the most to (about 13 gig)
than my zen, with the 13 gig, plus other stuff and genres.
and I have a back-up of all my cds on a portable 250gig hardisk :)

superpeer 09-21-2005 02:06 PM

I have a Zen, for some reason the transfer goes really slowly, my computer says my usb thing is too slow. But hey, it works.

I had that too just a few minutes ago while updating My Zen.
but then I put the cable inn to another USBgate, and it was all fine.
so I suggest you checking the other USB gates too.

slow uploading sucks :p

darn, R&M is slow tonight, esp. the extreme metal threads :(

RCA 09-21-2005 03:09 PM

Did Jason say when the next MNM would be posted?

Leper 09-21-2005 03:11 PM

Uggh I had to hang out at my sister's place all day wating for the cable guy to show up. On the plus side it gave me loads of free time, so I watched "The Doors" movie. I liked it. Anyone else seen it?

He's been hella busy with things, so it'll come when he has time to post it.

Heh, I think I tried them all. But I'll double check.

the2stranger 09-21-2005 03:21 PM

you can really notice a downfall in activity, with everyone going back to school and work and other responsibilities.

I have been here way too much for my own good during the holiday anyway

Anyone going to see any good concerts soon? I'm probably going to see Opeth when they come to North Carolina.

NP - Opeth - Bleak

Shred Danson 09-21-2005 03:32 PM

I'm going to see Exodus soon, but I'm pretty busy PLAYING shows, so not a lot of concert-going-age for me...

Well playing shows is awesome too. Do you have a link so that I can check out your band?

Shadows 09-21-2005 03:33 PM

I'm either going to see CoB (with Trivium and Amon Amarth) or Cryptopsy (with Aborted, Suffocation, and Cephalic Carnage) in November when they come around Detroit.

You should quite clearly go with the latter.

I would go see CoB but the closest place to where I live is 5 hours away and it's on a weekday, which totally sucks.

Shattered_Future 09-21-2005 03:37 PM

I WANT to go to that Nile concert in February with Decapitated and those others...

Nobody will take me though.

Not yet, but we're going down to Nashville in two weeks to record a song for a compilation. I'll let you know then :) .

Well can you at least tell me your band's name?
Well, i want to go mainly because of my obsessions with the culture, but i want to check out the war memorials and shrines on the outskirts of Tokyo too. I also want to eat at a classic Ramen house, and amaze the Japanese by showing them how much more than them i can drink.

I also want to visit some of the shops and arcades, their crazy.

Also i thought of the best idea ever.

So, you know how the Metalcore kids dance like ninja's with all the spin kicks and stuff? I say we go into an As I Lay Dying concert dressed as full ninja's with swords and everything, and actually start ninja fighting.

I think that would be great.
The only thing I like about Japan is how the businesses are run---the CEO's salary can't be more than 20% higher than the highest-paid employee.

Without A Trace, we're one of the only thrash metal bands in Western Kentucky :) (And we play straight up thrash, not metalcore posing as thrash, no matter what RCA or anyone says  ).

Thanks for the good luck wishes! We have a Hurricane Relief show October 7th and a pretty big show October 22nd, 10 metal bands, free beer, good times...too bad nobody around these forums lives in Kentucky, y'all could come check us out....

What other bands are they playing with? I saw Cradle of Filth last December. They kicked ass.
