>:-( damn internets plus msn isn't working grrr
Hey zowe you have your lip pierced right? |
yeah, I've got it done vertically :)
How's the argument coming along about getting it done?! :p |

It actually goes through my lip rather than the skin underneath it (labret)
http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/05-lips/A60417/high/bmegl256895.jpg <--like that Well I said to them and my dad was fine with it, he's really cool when it comes to piercings, tattoos etc "you only live once" sort of thing. My mum knows that I'm into piercings so she knew that I'd get it done anyway even if she did say no. So I kinda had it easy I guess. Just remind them that you're over 16, it's your own body. What would they do if you just went and got it done?... |

I think if I was 18 they'd be cool with it 'cause I'd be moving out pretty soon anyway but I think for now they'd feel responsible for me if it was the 'wrong decision'. My mum has kind of said maybe, but my dad is saying downright no. But if my mum agreed, she talk him round anyways. EDIT: Jesus that looks as if it hurt :-/ Seriously now though, how much did it really hurt? |
Show them that you can make the right decisions about things, then they'll realise that you're not a little girl anymore and that you can be trusted.
It was the sorest of all my piercings (not ears) but the pain was about 4 seconds then it went away. It swelt (is that a word?!) up a hell of alot though but that's normal for any piercing. I've not had any bother with it since. It's hard to say because I'm quite good when it comes to pain... everyone is different. |

Did you have to clean in with that spirit stuff liek you do when you get your ears pierced? And also how long is it before you can eat/speak properly without pain? Oh yeah and how long do you have to leave it before you can take it out and change it? |
I for one canna wait till I get the boro badge tatooed on my bicep.
|
They cleaned it for me.
I got a huge barbell put in and I could change it 3 days later to a smaller one, once the swelling had gone down. But I've not taken it out for more than 5 minutes. I left the studio and got on the train and ate a subway! :p and it didn't hurt. It could be different if you're getting a labret because that actually goes into your mouth, mine doesn't... They'll tell you all this anyway at the studio. |
It's "Swelled"

thank you deary To Herb: Yeah that's basically what she did. Drew the dots on, let me check it then stuck a needle up it! I'll look to see if they're a video of someone getting it done so you can see :thumb: |
i had a phase where i wanted a lip piercing but then i realised id have no home to live in.

Do they numb it before sticking the needle in really slowly? |

That's the best one I could find. I think it depends on the piercer. I didn't get mine numbed, but the adreneline kicks in and you hardly feel it anyway. It's a tiny piece of skin. |

i dont think i could do that, im too much of a wimp.
|
It really doesn't look too painful.
|
Same here. Piercings don't really appeal to me either.
|
I'd prefer getting a tatoo especally of my beloved football club.
|
I don't think i'd ever get a tattoo, i know that in about a month i'd get bored of it and want to change it.
|
hi everyone, man, busiest day ever, ive only just got in.
|
Yeah I think that about tattoos too.
Piercings however I love, the feeling when you get one done is unexplainable. I'm worried that I won't know when to stop... :( |
I'd never get a peircing or a tatoo. Not my kinda thing.
I think that having them leads people to judge the kind of person they're talking too on sight; more than 1-2 facial peircings on someone and the nazi in me goes "nnng..." Then again, these kids today with their fashions. I'm the one with the hippy hair-not-cut. |
