i was born on the 19th too man! we get the whole "happy birthday AND marry christmas." (one present)
Hahaha. You're like the 4th or 5th person I've met [well..."met"] with the same birthday as me.

And I know an assload of other people who have birthdays within a week.

Ethan. 08-09-2006 09:43 AM

I'm a twin and I met another pair of twins with the same birthday as me and my twin :amaze:

Sunshine 08-09-2006 09:44 AM

Now that's just damnably creepy.

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 09:50 AM

To be precise.

That's just creepy.

ofDooM 08-09-2006 10:16 AM

the push pull does NOT need the rim.

you basically push the stick, making it hit, then pull it, making it hit again. repeat.

THAT is the push-pull. i tried practicing it and it basically turned into the normal one handed roll. hit, bounce-hit, bounce-hit, etc...

green242 08-09-2006 10:26 AM

I went and seen darkest hour last night, because I like em of course. It was pretty kickass, the pit was quite crazy. It was good fun. I must say their drummer isn't anything amazing or nothing. Almost looks like he struggles alot, but I just think that's his look. But it was a pretty kickass show

MeaninglessPhoto 08-09-2006 11:03 AM

So yeah. Im sitting here in the recording studio on my laptop while my lead singer lays down his tracks. We did one song already and in the middle its got a really sweet groove in it. Ill post it when its completed.

Woo. Im buying a new china today. 22" China Boy Low. Too bad I need a camera though.

Zildjian 08-09-2006 11:27 AM

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 11:31 AM

I'm going to attempt to order a breakbeat ride today.

Half Life 08-09-2006 12:54 PM

maniac0796 08-09-2006 02:12 PM

Is pespi a boy or a girl, cos one minute it has a shlong, and the next is has a fadge?

Sorry for the use off It pespi, i'm jsut not sure, or are you a haemaphrodite, or a skitzophrenic (no idea how to spell those last two big words)?

Josiah 08-09-2006 02:51 PM

So aparently, my girlfriend has been going to mrs spielberg's (stevens mom) resturant for some time. They've become friends, "a darling woman she is..." *sigh* and I was just informed we've been invited to a dinner party at her house. maybe stevie will be there, one can hope.

Who here reads Rhythm magasine? Has anyone been reading the series they're currently doing on drum tuning? I love the guys methods, keeping it simple and dispelling some of the myths.
I tuned up my bass drum by his advice- no dampening, and no hole, and it sounds absolutely brilliant! So full and punchy and I can really feel it, but it sounds great from round the front too. Mmmm yeah.

maniac0796 08-09-2006 03:13 PM

I got the first one (the basic overview), but i havn't bought any since them
havn't had the time to buy or read em.

Janeway 08-09-2006 03:14 PM

Last night was fun.

I'm never going to think of cucumbers the same way again.

Cocaberry 08-09-2006 03:21 PM
Except i made it when the mods were getting really mad at all of the spamming and to show how much post counts mean to me i made a new account and i didn't know what to name it.
So you made the "not cocaberry" name too then?

Josiah 08-09-2006 03:25 PM

Last night was fun.

I'm never going to think of little girls the same way again.

Leprechauns1021 08-09-2006 03:28 PM

Last night was fun.

Im never going to think of an underage girl that was drunk at my friends party so I took her back to my place and played scrabble with her the same way again.

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 03:32 PM

Last Night was fun.

I read to my sister, and we watched Chapelle's Show Together.

Than I did something with a rabbit.

Leprechauns1021 08-09-2006 03:34 PM

Chappelle Show=Greatness

If only my sister had a sense of humor.

Janeway 08-09-2006 03:54 PM

I never got what was so great about it.

Race jokes have gotten really old.

Electric Requiem 08-09-2006 03:56 PM

are the new episodes any good, I havent had a chance to see them yet

Ah you're so lucky! I don't think it comes anywhere near me, I'm in Guildford. Plus I'm way too busy to go to the one that Drum Phil's going to.

However I am going to DrummerLive, which kinda makes up for it!
Is the September issue of Rhythm out yet? The tom tuning one is the one I need most!

Leprechauns1021 08-09-2006 04:01 PM

The new episodes are pretty good. Theres about one really funny sketch per episode, and 2 or 3 ok ones.

The reason his show was so great was because of the way he did everything. He did really offensive jokes, but they way he did it, it seemed like it was innocent humor. His delivery was great, and he was just a genuinly good guy. Unlike some people *cough*mencia*cough*, he never really focused on how racist and offensive stuff was, he just went out there and did his show everyday.

Janeway 08-09-2006 04:10 PM

That whole nigger/cracker comedy thing has been done to death, though.
The whole show was just sketches of stereotypes. It was funny for the first season, but it got old quickly.

I hate Mencia, too. Impersonating retards isn't particularly funny when the impersonator is retarded himself.

Leprechauns1021 08-09-2006 04:11 PM

Ya I agree it has been done to death, but chappelle found some new things to go on, and it wasnt 100% racism

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 04:24 PM

Mencia has his times when he's funny.

But yeah, Chappelle just pushed it over the edge.

I don't understand where Mencia comes from though.
He always make it seem like there has to be logic behind it.

Electric Requiem 08-09-2006 04:25 PM

The funniest sketch would have to be the black white supremacist one.

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 04:28 PM

White Power!

Some asian kid wrote that in my yearbook.
Crazy Man.

Electric Requiem 08-09-2006 04:31 PM

Best halloween costume ever: the white power ranger. Just put the KKK logo over top of the white power ranger's power ranger's logo.

Janeway 08-09-2006 04:31 PM

There isn't any logic behind Mencia. He's just saying the same stuff hundreds of other comedians has, and then when he says a big word he acts like a fucking genius.
He's not actually even mexican, either. He's Honduran/German, hails from Nebraska, and his name is Ned Holness, not Carlos Mencia.

Maggot Dream 08-09-2006 04:46 PM

Mencia sucks. Period.

I can never really find any great comedians anymore. After listening to Bill Hicks, everything else seems dull.

MeaninglessPhoto 08-09-2006 05:01 PM

Geroge Carlin is IMO one of the better comedians out there. Hes always been my favorite, even his old stuff from the 60's was funny.

raz0r 08-09-2006 05:17 PM

Russel Peters is the man.

Indian/American comedians = win

shablul 08-09-2006 05:18 PM

ah, boredom.
what can boredom make me do?
go down to the kitchen and lick ketchup.
i never realized ketchup can be that tasty!

i saw a REALLY funny stand-up by Demetri Martin today.
that was awesome.

We_Love_Lime 08-09-2006 05:22 PM

yoiu know what boredom can make two guys do?

Ask for pictures of girls in their thongs.
It's stupid, my friend did it on my account today, because I let him.
Neither of us has a soul.
Now I'm letting him stay on, because I feel bad enough all ready, and he can piss off some more people while he's at it.

I'll just change my name to Muhammed Arab.

shablul 08-09-2006 05:33 PM

lol.
ketchup's better.
btw heinz alone is way sucky. only tasty on sausages or hamburgers.
sausage is a funny word.
sausage.
sausage.
sausage.
sausage.
sausage.
