Show last night ruuuuuled

All the bands were tight, I was impressed by Verse and I liked what the singer had to say. Guns Up riiiipped, and had an excellent setlist, I just wish they played Life's Ill.

They played it here.

Therefore, Cali > TX

40 oz 2 freedom 06-13-2006 01:54 PM

Oh? Iron Age and Bitter End played the show there?

It was a riot during Iron Age.

BuddyBigsby 06-13-2006 01:57 PM

I'll be seeing Iron Age in a house and Bitter End next week, so suck it.

40 oz 2 freedom 06-13-2006 02:01 PM

OH well isn't that nice

Times Ten 06-13-2006 02:02 PM

Seeing Ceremony on the 28th! So stoked.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 02:20 PM

I have the best nug in the world right now.

Iron Bug 06-13-2006 03:40 PM

My dad just bought Boston's greatest hits and in the booklet it said they support a drug free lifestyle and listed a whole bunch of animal rights orginizations. I bet they listen to Earth Crisis.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 03:49 PM

They were heavily influenced by Earth Crisis.

NewKindofArmy03 06-13-2006 04:13 PM

Going to NYC tomorrow. Anyone ever been to the Metropolitan Musuem or the South Street Seaport mall thing?

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 05:10 PM
They played it here.

Therefore, Cali > TX
Okay, I was hoping I wouldn't have to bring this up to you

But dude, you live in the a'sshole of California. Nobody who even looks at California in the rest of the US even thinks of moving out anywhere in the 951 or 909. As for me and Pat, we live in the ideal spots of Texas, his a'ss is down around San Antonio living it up on the river while I'm a 2 or 3 minute drive from Dallas city limits in green north Texas by the lake.

You live in a desert waste land that is glorified with a mall and some big overpriced houses.

And as for music. I love California hardcore, and I don't mean to diss it but I'm gonna be honest and say I'm glad we don't have a 100 mediocre bands running around Texas right now being hyped up by people to others who will probably never hear or see them while we have some good qulaity bands around the state, though the numbers may be smaller, they are definitely much better than most of the s'hit around SoCal.

Iron Bug 06-13-2006 05:11 PM

Shane are you selling any of that vinyl?

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 05:13 PM

Oh s'hit my bad, hang on lemme sift through right now

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 05:16 PM

Internal Affairs - Casualty Of The Core 7" on clear
Gorilla Biscuits - ST 7"
Fortunate Son - ST 7" on clear green
Pride Kills - ST 7" on clear red
My Luck - Cleaver 7" on clear red

Those are up for grabs. I'd prefer trade but if you really just want to buy then I'd probably be down for that.

AIRIC 06-13-2006 05:18 PM
Going to NYC tomorrow. Anyone ever been to the Metropolitan Musuem or the South Street Seaport mall thing?
I've been to South Street Seaport. It was cool I guess. Good street performers infront of it at least.

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 05:19 PM

I saw something about South Street Seaport in a schoolbook once.

Iron Bug 06-13-2006 05:37 PM

How much for Fortunate Son and Pride Kills?

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 05:51 PM

Make yoself an offer.

kingdead 06-13-2006 05:57 PM

Wait, Shanes from Texas?

Hey, you have brought this up before.

And you lived in the OC so your little schpiel doesn't surprise me.

SoCal rules.

faith and fiction 06-13-2006 06:05 PM

OC ruled, I won't lie.

If you honestly think that Chino and the rest of the IE is better than Anaheim, HB, Orange, Santa Ana, and Costa Mesa then that sucks.

SoCal does rule, but Texas rules.

Lazybassplr56 06-13-2006 06:05 PM

The scene in L.A. isn't as strong as the one in the I.E. You guys get way more better shows. But everything else about the I.E. can lick my butthole.

Iron Bug 06-13-2006 06:22 PM
Make yoself an offer.
What pressings are they? You got AIM, this would be much easier.

NewKindofArmy03 06-13-2006 06:26 PM

Yo Justin, you should go to this. A bunch of terrible bands, but if it's one of RsG's last shows, it's worth it.
I read this on another board...
Sunday June 25th
Lancaster american legion
Show starts at 3pm $7

A shotgun wedding
Emailia Massacre
Here Between
Tragic Ending
Circus! Circus!
Tyler Speaks For Me
Red Light Green Light
Fifth and Elm
The Art of Abandonment
This or The Apocalypse?
The Scarlet Affair
Rumpelstiltskin Grinder

After setting this show up Grinder announced that their lead singer and guitar player are moving on to do other things, so as of now this will be their last show, this will definitly be their last show in lancaster and one last time to see the amazing show they put on. I know some of you dont like alot of the other bands on the show but come out and lets send them off the right way.
Feel The Darkness 06-13-2006 06:42 PM

Yeah, Texas is still awesome. Shane, you forgot about Joel, he's holding it down by Houston. As for me, well Laredo is shit, but our scene basically owns most.

Whatchu want for that GB 7"? Check my shit:

Although I'd rather just buy it.
Going to NYC tomorrow. Anyone ever been to the Metropolitan Musuem or the South Street Seaport mall thing?
I live less than 5 blocks away from the Met.

young, loud, and andrew 06-13-2006 06:56 PM

By the way, Texas currently ****s all over California right now purely because of Iron Age and Bitter End. Aside from Set Your Goals, Eaten Alive, and a few others, California basically has a lot of crap.

You lived here for a few months, I've lived here my whole life. The OC is beautiful but the IE isn't nearly as bad as you kids make it out to be. stfu.

cbmartinez 06-13-2006 07:00 PM

Shane was all about how Cali was better than Tex when he lived there.

You know nothing.

NorCal craps all over Texas.

As for SoCal, there are far better bands than EA.

http://www.myspace.com/pressurerocknroll - Joe from Fortunate Son's new band. Think Cursed + Rock n Roll.
http://www.myspace.com/finalfight - Duh.
http://www.myspace.com/vagaryla - Ex-Make Move and better than said band.
http://www.myspace.com/limblessjerks - Ghostlimb. Think Tragedy but more pissed off and with two dudes.
http://www.myspace.com/timeforchange - This band will blow up by next year.
http://www.myspace.com/lifeordeath - Heavy.
http://www.myspace.com/headhighband - Members of Final Fight. Poppy **** done right.
http://www.myspace.com/somedayxsomehow - Should be duh on here by now.

NewKindofArmy03 06-13-2006 07:06 PM

Texas has Iron Age and Insect Warfare so i'll side with them.

BuddyBigsby 06-13-2006 07:10 PM

If Texas wins for any reason, its for Pantera.

Been on this son. I wish With Honor would just breakup so these guys could play all the time and not have to rely on Shai Hulud.

Tjebby 06-13-2006 08:28 PM

Reiner's right. With Honor stopped making good music. They should stop.

mikexmcdaniel 06-13-2006 09:10 PM

Are they still together. Tell them to come to L.A. and play some shows.
