FOD means first of the day, as in post
FOAD is first of american day, but i'm a bit unsure why we play that in the uk thread :-\

I wouldn't worry too much, especially if it's a case that it has to be signed for, you should get on to the shop aswell though they might be able to sort something out, and if you don't get they should have to supply another, i but i know how you feel though, the same thing happened when i ordered my laptop.
