I don't like movies for first dates, especially when you've only known the person for a few weeks. If you have someone over that's a romantic interest to you everything feels so forced because it's not really a mutual environment. She'll feel awkward because she's at [I]your[/I] house, and you'll feel as if the night has to go in a certain order to avoid awkward moments (tour around the house, start the movie, take her home maybe, etc).

If you take her out to dinner it'd be better - the environment is neutral and it's the perfect place to figure out her interests/likes & dislikes and other topics that really can get a relationship moving.

Movies can be a good first date, just because it can get rid of some of the awkwardness, but post-movie is either a go for it situation or you'll be friendzoned. I've been friendzoned dozens of times, so I know what I'm talking about.

I think taking her out is good though, yeah. Maybe not to a formal dinner, though. Taking girls to parties tends to work. Not disgusting sloppy parties or anything, but get togethers, where you can go [I]with[/I] her, kind of giving that sense to her that she's your date. I donno. I'm awful with women.

That happened to me in the summer. Ran into an old crush on the streetcar, both of us a little liquored, and we made all these plans to hang out. Didn't happen, now she's back in Montreal, so I have to wait until April at the earliest to see her.

I always take all my potential girlfriend to this Italian restaurant. It's nothing too fancy and it's a good way to get to know the other person in a more in depth way. I'm not trying to be smug, but I'm pretty good at conversing with women and making them feel comfortable. I suck, however, at initiating anything.

Probably why I haven't dated anyone since June.

Yeah that works, if you wanna go to zion beforehand we could if they're open, but I told some people on my floor I have some alcohol I'd be willing to share (and if you bring some of yours that would be good) and there are some attractive girls on the floor too and people always drop by when drinking is involved.

Pretty much man. I had to get some lettuce from the store because my work ran out, and right when I got in there this really cute girl from high school was working at the coffee stand. She hung out with the jocks and other stupid bitches, but she was really cool. For some reason, though, I kind of put her on a pedestal because of the people she hung out with. Now that I know she works there I'll probably talk to her, but it'll take some time, heh.
