Honestly, I don't care for any post-2006 metalcore. Too many fashion trends and soundalike bands for my liking. To be honest, the genre itself has grown rather stale as of late. That said, I do enjoy:

The Chariot
Between the Buried and Me
Norma Jean (early)
Hopesfall (again, early stuff)
Glass Casket
Becoming the Archetype
Yakuza (more prog metal, but still has a lot of metalcore influences)
Zao
The Dillinger Escape Plan (technically mathcore, but it's still metalcore by definition)
Living Sacrifice
Protest the Hero
The Human Abstract (only [i]Nocturne[/i])

Genre has been stale for the past few years but this year has actually been a pretty decent year for the volume of releases.

btw mathcore is a bullshit tag, and protest the hero have practically 0 hardcore influence so they're not metalcore.

I think it's a fair assumption that PtH have some 'core' aspects, but they're not a Metalcore band.

I've caught half of their set before (poor time keeping by my friends ffs) and they were pretty dec live.

Check out Bastions and Antares, they're on the same label as Kerouac, and you may as well check out Santa Karla another sweet uk band.
