Been hammering dissection - storm of the lights bane all day while working on uni case studies, once its finished this time round i reckon i'm gonna have to put on rain by Fauna. Speaking of fauna does anyone know if they're gonna bother their asses recording their 3rd and 4th pieces!? i've read a few things dotted around online that they've written to other pieces but seen nothing about recording :-s

Fauna are a cascadian Black Metal band pretty similar to early WITTR. They've done 2 albums so to speak one called Rain and another called The Hunt. There stuffs pretty long and repetetive Rain is one track which lasts just over an hour and The Hunt is broken down into 7 tracks on cd but is still one complete song which is about 73 minutes in length. They're pretty cool like i said i know they've written a 3rd and 4th album/song whatever you want to call it but seen nothing as far as them recording either of them. Just thought someone on here might know?

I really liked the long acoustic buildup in the song Rain, but the parts with overdrive seem boring and remind me of why I don't like WITTR. (Funny that you should mention them. :p) And the vocals are just awful. Will give [i]The Hunt[/i] a listen as well, though.

Yeah the vocals are pretty poor lol, I really like WITTR so i thought it was worth getting both the fauna releases. they're not too bad IMO but nothing amazing by any stretch of the imagination. It puts it in perspective when i listen to Ulver - Nattens Madrigal afterwards and it blows Rain completely out of the water
