Halfway? Are you getting it used?
yea definitely.

Actually, i could get a sealed one on ebay for 200.00.

Thankfully I already have SOCOM (from friends busted PSP). Besides that, all i have to get is GTA : LCS again.

I was supposed to goto the Yngwie Malmsteen concert on Monday with my girl. Since shes no longer allowed to drink, she said it would be better if we didnt go. I told her I'm putting 1/2 of the money it would cost for the show into the PSP account. We agreed $40 was reasonable amount/request
I'm attempting to combine the two, and not doing very well.
ive combined my work, MX, and AIM rather well.

If im really feeling up to it, i might throw some ebay auctions into the mix, but i try not to push the envelope too much

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 08:06 AM

I have never played Warcraft.

kurrpt 11-23-2005 08:07 AM

If we're talking normal Warcragft, not WoW, Starcraft is better.

kurrpt 11-23-2005 08:15 AM

i really dont like starcraft either. That game officially ruined strategy based, real time games for me

the2stranger 11-23-2005 08:22 AM

I probably would be doing that, except for the fact that I've spent far too much over the last couple of weeks already (two dozen or so CDs and DVDs from eBay and Amazon).

kurrpt 11-23-2005 09:00 AM

haha nice...

i have to save roughly 80% of my income and i cant spend it. I just like to look at the state of things on ebay (like PSPs, 360s, and the like)

Kingofdudes 11-23-2005 09:53 AM

My retro pay is due in next week

kurrpt 11-23-2005 09:54 AM

he got money back from taxes I suppose?

Jom 11-23-2005 09:57 AM

Hooray for pseudo-advertising for a decent cause! Kind of.
As World AIDS Day (Dec 1) approaches, The drug company Bristol-Meyers Squibb built a website to help AIDS research. If you let the page load, you can chose to "light" a candle anywhere in the world. Just chose the place, and chose why you're lighting it. I decided to light mine for hope.

For every candle lit, they will donate $1 to AIDS research.

Now they are going to donate a minimum of $100,000 but- if we can get more candles than that lit, think of all the extra money that will be donated. At last count, there are 5,827 candles, a long way to go. Think how easy it is to give. Just a few clicks of the mouse, and you've helped fund a worthy cause, without ever having to leave your chair.

Give it a try.

http://www.lighttounite.org/
I haven't gotten around to doing this yet, because I'm still at odds with the desktop computer back home (I should just unplug the connection and put it in my laptop, but yeah).

Anyways, if you're interested, go ahead and give it a shot, if you want.

I'd consider making a thread in The Pit or PN&WI, but it won't go over well, heh.

Thanks :cooldawg:

Haha, I had this one a couple months ago, but it gave way to a series of gimmick usertitle/avatar combinations (the most recent being Bob Barker/"Look behind those doors... it's a brand new car!").

tehchad liked this one most, and he was e-upset that I changed it, but I didn't have it on my laptop, just on this computer. So, I came back and fixed it, heh.

Bah, the cheap bastards won't even let you do two in a row.

Although. I have a break in between a couple of lectures tomorrow. To fill the time I may just visit all the computers I can find around University and light a candle for each of them.

Kingofdudes 11-23-2005 10:06 AM

I "went" Full time november first, but I didnt get my raise(I was only getting $6.) Next pay check, they are gonna give me all the money I would have made if I was working for $9 an hour(my new wage), from then to now.

I mean, I'm not surprised that people are choosing love or hope moreso than the others, but I was the 6,879th to light a candle (I think), and THAT number came up for strength? :-\

actually

you're probably seeing this as "OMG, the check will be huge!!"

but realistically you're getting dicked over 2 fold man.

1. all that money at one time place you in a higher tax bracket, so you'll get taxed at a higher rate

2. them holding on to that money for that duration of time allows them to make money off of your money

Lord Abortion 11-23-2005 10:57 AM

To #1, that amount of money wont push me over my current tax bracket by the end of the year(At this point, I make so little I will get all my taxes, save SS, back). Also see Bartender's post.

Shadows 11-23-2005 01:31 PM

You need to find some new friends. Mine actually would do it if I did something for them in return.

How much does rice pudding run? I'll go get some for you. I feel like getting some for myself too.
