Beggars can't be choosers, bro. And I'm sure there are a couple attractive Filipinos.

adb 07-27-2009 06:42 PM

I'm not attracted to them js

like how some jackasses (mcp, DB) aren't attracted to asians

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 06:45 PM

They are just racist.

adb 07-27-2009 06:47 PM

oh.

RetiredAt21 07-27-2009 06:48 PM

They are. I heard they are both in the KKK.

Nothing online will ever replace/be better than offline social interaction to meet people.

Unless you're like, super ****ed.

huh? it doesn't really matter how you meet the person

adb 07-27-2009 07:06 PM

Coming from someone who's stalking an asian chick that won't come out and chill for an hour...right.

Only internet nerds would argue that forum communication is a good way to meet chicks. Get out and meet people, talk to them.

10 minutes of in-person convo would be 2 months of online talking, tbh.

that doesn't mean you can't meet great people online and develop friendships. you can end up meeting them in real life anyway.

yeah, having a lasting conversation online with a girl I find attractive and funny is totally stalking, you're a dumb bitch

never said forum communication was a good way, because it isn't good one on one conversation

masscows 07-27-2009 07:13 PM

I think that depends really. I can barely ever say what I mean IRL but when I can put my thoughts into text it's much easier because I can choose my words deliberately and don't have to deal with the stress of the situation/environment.

Have you ever met anyone IRL that you've met online?

^^^^this

text is easier for me in some ways, talking is good in others

the downfall with text is it has no personality

Yeah totally, but the more you're social, the more comfortable you become with it and adjust - cha know?

I mean, I have met super cool people online...but in the 2 years I've been talking to them online, I'm closer with people I've met IRL 2 months ago. The way the relationship builds is different.

My job is to help people build relationships online, through different social marketing tools - so I'm not saying it doesn't happen BUT regardless, it's not a good way to meet people.

Then again, this clearly isn't the place for this conversation. My apologizes.

masscows 07-27-2009 07:16 PM

yeah, "just" social anxiety >=(

AA-12 07-27-2009 07:18 PM

masscows 07-27-2009 07:19 PM

i mean like, you say "just" like it's not that big of a deal

maybe it isn't idk
