his prison cell is better looking than my bedroom, so i doubt that. hell, the whole prison system in norway is really nice.

I don't think Varg was at any point mentally ill in any way. He was young and hung out with people who hyped each other up to new extremes. The things he did and the things he believes are more a product of the people he associated and the people that have affected him in his life than with any twitch in his head.

Vikernes did not burn any churches (there were no evidence of it at least). he killed a dude who was planning to kill him. they were big crybabies who wanted to prove that they were the biggest and meanest omgxzor satanist in town. it was a stupid feud between two kids. nothing more.

also, after reading a few of his works (both philosophical and historical), I can assure you he isn't stupid. a bit weird and anchored in silly racist views from the stone ages, yes. but not unintelligent.

As far as I know he did burn churches. Euronymous never did, though. None of them were Satanist, btw.

They were never satanists, the media gave them that title. As far as i know varg got in trouble because he talked to a journalist about what happened but wanted to remain anonymous, but of course that didnt happen.

@rasputin many of his articles on history as well as his philosophical writings on the universe etc are in an intellectual language and with logical reasoning. some of it is bat shit insane (e.g. the whole thesis about alien robots creating our solar system...), but it's not unintelligent rambling.

it's not really difficult to make general and obvious observations on 'history' and the 'universe'. there's a huge difference between what varg writes and what an academic may write, the difference being that the academic is probably intelligent and knows what he's talking about whereas varg isn't and doesn't

i don't know why you keep trying to make this a point, it seems to be that you're either really in love with his persona or you haven't actually read anything he's written, because what he writes is literally as you say it isn't - unintelligent rambling

I've read a few things, and I am in no way "in love with him". he's probably a knobhead. but his writings do not make him come off as unintelligent. nor does his music.
