Avatar is a really good album.

I've been digging Gazpacho today, namely [i]Night[/i]. Why haven't I listened to this before? It's like Opeth's [i]Damnation[/i] + Jeff Buckley in "Dream Brother" mode + good Porcupine Tree. It's a total no-brainer that I'd like it.

just plain neat. Pavement + Sonic Youth = this album.

I should listen to that

Sure, everyone should! Though on first impression it just sounds like a more dissonant Pavement. The guitars sound really out of tune and make uncomfortable harmonies even though they seem like normal 90s slacker alt-rock song structures.
