I'm not sure how much I can blab about without pissing the band off but since this thread was bumped by spam (which I had to can) I might as well tell you guys that if they're about to start pre-production (if they haven't already---I had a pretty substantial amount to drink last night so my memory is kind of fuzzy).

Kezia is the better written album. It is, after all, a concept album. I couldn't tell with my first listen or two through Fortress if it was (its not, though there is a theme to it). The sound of Fortress is definitely better, but Kezia is more well written. IMO.

Nah, they've got a rehearsal space in TO. Pre-production is/was [being] done in Hamilton and I think recording is gonna be split between Metal Works (mostly for drums, I think) and one other place.

They're about ready for pre-production, not necessarily a full-fledged trip to the studio.

I'm not actually sure btw I was just kinda making it up. I know August was the goal for studio but I haven't heard anything recently and really don't have the need to pry. Even if they haven't done pre-production yet it's not like it'll take them weeks, it adds another week or two at most, and with how their last two albums have been massively delayed I wouldn't put it past a later-than-sooner release.
