buzzoven is ace.
|
they're meh idk
|
Which of those Buzzoven albums is the best?
|
The only one I have is Sore and it owns.
|
I like Weedeater better than Buzzoven.
|
:o That's crazy.
Wall of Sleep Semlah Cambian Dawn (pushing the boundaries of the doom genre but I love em).
I already know Wall of Sleep (Excellent band, both albums I have are ace) I'm going to check the other 2 :) |
I'm going to check the other 2 :)
There's 3. Hour of 13, Semlah, Cambian Dawn. I could recommend about another 354 bands but I don't know who you know already. I assume you already worship: Iron Man, Penance, Bloodfarmers, Unorthodox etc? And you checked out the Dwell Within demo I posted? And Argus? Might be worth starting a hunt for the Millarca and Icefall demos. But good luck - they're hard to find. |
Oh sorry, hehe...I already knew Hour of 13 :p
And I already love Iron Man, Penance, Unorthodox....haven't heard Bloodfarmers though :( And the demos kicked ***, dude! And I just checked Childern of a Lesser God...good stuff. |
Hello guys.
I'm back again. I need some more doom, \m/ |
Hey Petey.
You should check out that link Jondur posted earlier. It's got some great legal stuff on it. |
how many of you have heard the Sons Of Kyuss EP?
recently got hold it of it on my pc, raw as fook, same vibe as wretch, which i also really like even though it seems pretty unpopular i'd love to upload the EP but meh, i know its against the rules, if you see an opportunity to get hold of it DO IT!!! just for the song 'isolation' with an acoustic intro :D |
sons of kyuss is pretty ok
|
Hey Petey.

new Om has leaked if you don't have that yet, 2stranger
|
Thanks for letting us know!!
So, do you dig it or what? |
new Om has leaked if you don't have that yet, 2stranger
I have it, but I have yet to listen to it. |
I'm only on Bhima's Theme, but so far it's been really really good. The first song seems a LOT more stripped down than both previous albums and Unitive Knowledge of the Godhead basically just blasted me in the face with overwhelming stoner intensity.
Yeah... I'm diggin it so far. @Kage |
I don't know if they'll ever beat Conference, but this is a killer album.
|
Yeah, I think this one tops Variations, but is just under Conference... it's a damn good album
|
I haven't decided if I like it better than Variations.
The "To sun glides the albatross" line is just too classic. |
my favorite line from Om is
"Rise aviator- sun will follow" the way he says that is just great. actually, i really enjoy Om's vocals in general |
I still can't get into Variations. :(
|
my favorite line from Om is

i dont like om's vocals
|
Your loss imo.
|
Your loss imo.
Agreed. Om's vocals are hypnotic. |
maybe if they werent so loud in the mix
|
hmm...
I'd say they're just right. You can hear everything clearly behind them. Think of Om's vocals as another instrument rather than a person singing... they add a whole other rhythm to the song. They really are great |
Tyranny is great! I'm listening to Tides Of Awakening, great album.
And I have yet to download the new OM. |
its like that for every band that has a vocalist
possibly, but that's not how i look at every band's vocalist... Om's vocalist is basically speaking in a monotonous voice so as to not distract too largely from the music while still being a driving force in the rhythm. |
boring to focus on boring?
only problem i have with the vocals is that they're just a little too loud in the mix. they would work a lot better if they weren't. |
You still like the band though right?
|
yes i like them
|
I'm going to listen to Variations right now, because of you ****ers.
I like you too Elim. holy **** this is badass |
Great thread! I love Pagan Althar, Cirith Ungol, Witchfinder General, Reverend Bizarre, Solstice, Candlemass, Orodruin, Count Raven, Penance, Spiritus Mortis, Rising Dust, Pale Divine, Unorthodox above many others.
|
