what's your guys' favorite song so far?

I can't stop listening to "The Baying Of The Hounds," it's just too good, every single second of it.

grand conjuration is a very good and dark song to me^^
i also like circles of tyrants

Hours of Wealth by far. Mikael's vocals and the final solo are just too perfect.

It wouldn't be very polite to play Opeth songs to friends who don't like it...the vocals are a bit much. I was addicted to Godhead's Lament today (just for the acoustic middle section, really) and my roommate kept coming in while it was playing. I don't think he digs death screams.

My friends are all very open-minded about music. None of them are a fan of the death growls, but some of them like the rest of the music. I don't have many real friends though. Friends to me, basically translates into anyone that I regularly jam with :lol:

On "Ghost Of Perdition" is spectacular.

The Grand Conjuration video is friggin' creepy. It reminded me of a Rammstein video, where it's all scary and weird and then something downright goofy just pops in (a toilet? Come on. I thought this song was about someone summoning Satan)

Ghost of Perdition is my favorite as of right now, but The Baying of The Hounds might take it's spot soon.

The guitar parts to those lyrics really remind me of Morningrise and the other earlier albums. But yeah, that's an awesome song.

That song is the best on the album IMO.

The whole left side of the cover is just aching for an "Opeth" symbol at the top, and a "Ghost Reveries" on the bottom.

I think the art looks great without the logo and stuff. It's powerful on its own.

Opeth are coming to Hollywood 10/10 the ****ty part is its a monday and I have no ride to hollywood.

I have work on that ****in day.I always have work on Mondays.

Opeth and Tool would be cooler; that rumor floated around a while back. I would kill for that.

My thoughts on Ghost Reveries: I think this album is awesome. I need more time to decide where it stands in relation to all the other Opeth albums, but I don't think it knocks Still Life out of the top spot (for me). I absolutely love every track except Harlequin Forrest. It's pretty good, I guess; just my least favorite on the album. I'm not sure what my favorite song on the album is, but I know that Isolation Years is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Absolutely un-freaking believable! :) I think GR is a concept album simply because of the way he references other lyrics from the album and other song titles. Beneath the mier is in "Baying of the Hounds", he talks about baying in at least one (possibly 2, I don't remember) song other than "Baying of the Hounds". The same occurs on MAYH and SL.

I'm glad to know that Isolation Years isn't a part of a concept because it was throwing off my whole interpretation of the album. I'll read the lyrics a few more times and post what I think the story is later. All in all, this album does NOT dissapoint! :)
