Someone mentioned Whiplash... Their drummer was with Slayer for a bit... where can I get some of their stuff? I searched on K+. And Nuclear Assault, my music teacher played me some of their stuff on friday. Ya my teacher is awesome, big time thrasher!
You can buy any whiplash album, as they have all been re-issued by some lable or another (or didn't go out of print in the first place) or atleast, that was the case a few years back. Pretty good stuff, check out their first three albums for straight up thrash/speed or Sit Stand Kneel Pray and Cult Of One for some Metal Church styled metal. |
Anyone remember seeing Mustaine on Nevermind The Buzzcocks (UK music comedy quiz show)?
He was the lad on that, headbanging during the 'guess this tune' bit. :D
I cant remember that one  which is kind of odd because i usedt to watch it alot but i do remember Dani Filth on it  that was funny, he took a few of the jokes but after a while he got pissed off and told he would smack him if he carried on [to mark lamarr] |
Haha, Mark Lamarr is a right cocky bastard. He did take a lot of crap on Shooting Stars though.
"He's a 1950's conman" haha. |
Very kickass. I'm starting to like Megadeth a lot more than I like Metallica XD
Suprisingly, I'm going to get Rust In Peace with The System Has Failed.
Excellent.
Someone mentioned Whiplash... Ya my teacher is awesome, big time thrasher!
You don't find bands like Whiplash on Kazaa, dude, look on soulseek. I have one song of theirs, it's called Power Thrashing Death, or something, which I can send to you if you like. Check out Game Over, which I've tried to download for about 2 weeks now, but can't find it. It's great though. Another '86 classic. |
P.S what does everyone think of my new avatar? It's that thing from Doom II that shoots stuff at you from its mouth.

SLAYER: 'Still Reigning' DVD Packaging Preview Posted Online
Several photos from the packaging to the upcoming SLAYER DVD, "Still Reigning", have been posted online at the Rock N Roll Experience web site. Check them out at this location.http://www.angelfire.com/rock/e4/slayerblood.html As previously reported, "Still Reigning" is scheduled for release on October 26. The disc will feature, for the first time ever, the original SLAYER lineup — Tom Araya (vocals, bass), guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, and drummer Dave Lombardo, who permanently rejoined the band in 2003 — performing an entire concert live. The cornerstone of the DVD will be the 1986, 28-minute classic album "Reign In Blood", performed in its entirety. During the final 45-seconds of the song "Raining Blood", "blood rains from the heavens," completely drenching the band, their instruments, and the stage. Hanneman unintentionally avoided the initial bloodbath as he stepped offstage for just a moment to handle a problem with his guitar, and missed the cue; but was deluged as he stepped back onstage. "Still Reigning" was directed by Dean Karr (IRON MAIDEN's "Rock in Rio", the groundbreaking "Sweet Dreams" for MARILYN MANSON), and was shot on July 11 at the Civic Center in Augusta, ME. Ten cameras, including three hand-held mini-DVs, captured SLAYER throughout the day and evening, filming an abundance of footage and exclusive interviews shot backstage, on the band's tour bus, and live on stage. The DVD will have an approximate 75-minute running time and will retail for $14.98. |

Withput wanting to pis of the entire Slayer-posse, am I the only thrasherhead who thinks Slayer (with the possible exception of the Seasons In The Abyss album) is just a heap of ****ing noise
|
Yes.
|
In other news, Steve Zetro Souza got fired from Exodus. Read what Gary has to say about him. http://www.exodusattack.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1842
|
Holy **** ay. Hahaha, I was wondering if that was really holt posting, it sounds rather brutal, although I wonder if his whining vocals are a true reflection of his manner in real life? If it is, i say good ridance to bad rubbish whinging people must die. Although, it will be interesting to see Souza's side of the story and what the outcome will be when all the dust settles.
Anyway, who would you like to see in exodus? |
Holt posted another statement apologizing... so it was most definitely him.
Arise, yes, yes you are the only 'thrasherhead' that thinks Slayer is just a pile of noise, Seasons aside... but then again, thrash is a fairly noisy genre. Chaotic/Messy thrash is the best kind of thrash. |
Well, that was humerous. It will be interesting to see Souza's side of the story, though. I thought Holt was very immature and unprofessional in his post, though. I wonder who the new vocalist will be.
|
holy **** that came as a shock
|
yes you are the only one arise lol
that exodus news came as such a shock i still cant belive it now Holt serioulsly laid into him in that post!! i heard that guy from exhumed did a great job when he covered for him maybe he will get it? |
Anyway, who would you like to see in exodus?
i dont really think i can see anyone else singing for them, i'm probably wrong though |
When I read the article I was not in shock, more as of interested to hear the news about what happened. I don't know...I kind of found Gary's post to be like me when I'm having a horrible day or just when I'm plain pissed off.
|
so, how do i join then? And yes, ive heard darkness descends
|
Dude Zetro sounds like a total dick,I would of kicked the fag out of the band alot earlier.I doubt him leaving will hurt Exodus, they will still rock.LONG LIVE EXODUS!

|
worst week ever
Indeed. This has been on eof the ****tiest weeks of my life so far, and that's not including the Exodus situation |
why what's the matter?
|
Not getting enough poontang
|
why what's the matter?
Yaaay, someone asked. Now I have a valid reason for whining  No, seriously though: First off, the incredibly cool and great in every way teacher I have in my University class just got replaced with one of the dumbest, oldest, and most anoyingly boring and irrational persons I've ever met in my entire life. this dude waits two weeks for us to learn notation, music theory and musical descriptions, and then introduces a whole new system (which he invented himself, consisting of dollar signs and such, to show chord variations), telling us to get used to it or **** off (essentially). Later the very same day, I'm riding my bike down this street I never usually go down, and this police patrol stops me. Apparenly, I had been goin against traffic, so I get a 400 skr ticket (approx 53 $, which is a lot when you have no income until January next year). Fine, I broke the law, I'll pay, but how come you can park a police patrol with a car on a tiny ****ing side-street to catch "dangerous" bicyclists, but you can't have one patrolling the streets outside the cit center to prevent crimes, because "it will cost too much"?! So, finally, after I get my ticket and leave, I go down to the bicycle store to pick up a new pair of front forks. The old ones got busted when I collided with some stone stairs last week, thanks to three dumbass american exchange students, who apparently don't understand the signs saying "road just for bicyclists" Long story short, when they were supposed to move, they didn't, and I was forced to do a twist-turn, smashing into the stairs. Finally, when I get home, I get myself a peach, take a bite and WHAM, my prostetic teeth falls out. So I went over to the dentist today, and he said he's gonna have to re-attach the teeth to another tooth, because otherwise, it will just fall out again (its attached to the back of one of my front teeth via a small metal plate). And, to be able to attach it properly, I'm gonna have to go through some surgery (IE, they're gonna have to cut open my upper gums). LIFE SUX!!! Hmm, I wonder if anybody is actually gonna be arsed to read through this whole thing  |
yep because I care (have nothing better to do)
unlucky for you tho, and too make things even worse for you is that my advice is "There's always someone worse off than you" it's a cliche (ohhhhh that a cool word) and it's probably not true but i'm too tired at the moment to think of something better or funnier, so i'm probably gonna go to bed soon, goodnight all! |
MEGADETH OWNSCan i join, dont be fooled by the Ashlee simpson ****.
|
R.I.P. Johnny
Yeah that exodus news is kinda interesting. I haven't posted here in a long time, I don't get on the internet much anymore. |
Man, that sucks Arise. Hope the whole tooth situation turns out alright, as that sounds pretty sucky. Police can be such ******s sometimes. I got a $50 fine on the way to uni one day for not wearing a helmet FOR NOT WEARING A ****ING HELMET. Yeah, no wonder why everyone hates them. Oh well, **** happens ay. Oh yeah, don't get me started with exchange students either. The fact that they walk slow is enough to have a gripe with the lot of them but they also talk and smell funny. :S

Sweet satan, charging people for not wearing helmets. What a ****ing waste of tax-payers money. If anybody not wearing a helmet crashes into a ****ing streetlight or whatever, who is he gonna hurt 'cept for himself? |
this maybe a dumb question but does it matter if my album initials are the same as somebody else's? Cause i just noticed that mine is the same as creeping Black
|
i dont think it matters that much
