You're not much of a philosopher, smoke less pot! :p

Stevo: Do take AP, best choice ever.
Stevo: don't take AP classes kthx
TBH I'd rather take it and avoid basic classes, even if it means 10 times more homework.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 07:56 PM

not when the college you go to won't accept AP credits.

Jake: At least you got it though and that's what matters

Shadows 08-27-2007 07:57 PM

Woah woah woah, what Anchorman reference?

LifeInABox 08-27-2007 07:57 PM

What album by NM is that, stevo?

Angmar 08-27-2007 07:57 PM
not when the college you go to won't accept AP credits.
Are you speaking of any Washington Colleges in particular?

HBP: Lunar Poetry, original cover I think.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 07:57 PM

Man, so for the first time ever, I found Scrubs unfunny. ****ing Zach Braff is a bitch and the only reason that show is cool is because people make fun of him for half an hour and they call it a show.
TBH I'd rather take it and avoid basic classes, even if it means 10 times more homework.
yea I meant don't take AP classes and expect not to get owned a little bit in terms of courseload.

Luckily for me I only had one AP class ever that was hard, and only for half a year because I was put into the other teacher's class second semester. All the other ones were easy GPA++

Angmar 08-27-2007 08:00 PM

Yeah its to be expected I suppose. But I only have 9 days left to summarize 3 more chapters in the book and read 200 pages from 1776. I got owned by procrastination.

Permanent Solution 08-27-2007 08:02 PM
not when the college you go to won't accept AP credits.
you can find that out ahead of time and not go there.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 08:04 PM

or take community college classes as an alternative and get virtually garuanteed credits!

and still go to the college of your choice.

Oh, it's alot cooler that the cover I have.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 08:13 PM
Woah woah woah, what Anchorman reference?
Lunch said something about a deep burn and 1000 reps.

Stevo - Well PLU, the one I'm going to, has ridiculously high standards compared to most schools I think; Only accept 5's on most and 4's on select tests. Calc is one of the ones they accept 4's for. Most colleges accept 3's I think. WSU even accepts 2's if you can provide proof that the class was actually a good learning experience. My chem teacher told us that some kids that went there sent their lab journal with their results and got credit with a 2.

So there's a little breakdown.

masada 08-27-2007 08:14 PM

original cover is a little different

i did that too but AP is cheaper.

4's and 5's are easy to get what's the big deal? =\

Angmar 08-27-2007 08:16 PM

haha a 2, WSU seems like a place I would enjoy going to anyway, so I'm not too worried.

Actually it was free minus books.

And remember Vince, not the entire world is as bright as you, you're a special boy.

Stevo - yeah, it's mostly forgotten by west siders, but it's a good school if you're either interested in agriculture/science or kegz. They do tons of crop research and supposedly, 3.5% of Anhueisser Busch's beer is consumed there.

masada 08-27-2007 08:23 PM

I'm mostly interested in engineering, and my family is friends with one of the professors who says its a great school for that. Plus I just like the area a lot, Pullman is a great town and I would much rather live there as appose to Seattle.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 08:28 PM

What appeals to you about Pullman? That's pretty interesting because that's one of the reasons why I woudln't wanna go there. Too much like home and I need a change of scenery.

Not really. =| My interview today definitely proves how dumb I am.

I like the town as a whole, and highly prefer Eastern Washington over Western, even though I live in Western. Living by Idaho is good too since the sales tax is so low and I would be a poor college student. And smaller towns are more appealing to me in general. Plus Cougar Country= <3

Uh oh :(
It couldn't have gone that badly?

Also: Western Washington > Eastern Washington \:D/

TojesDolan 08-27-2007 08:49 PM

I like western states more than eastern states, yes.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-27-2007 09:00 PM

Cougar Country rules! Had a banana shake there once, it was ill.

Speaking of which, my mom brought bananas home today so i should make a shake.

Vince - Washington and some other states have this highschool program, ours is called Running Start; starting in your junior year, you can go to a local college and take a full course load there. Some people can get their AA in those two years, but I only went part time my senior year for a change of pace. It's all gov't funded minus books.

Dimmu Burger 08-27-2007 09:14 PM

I'm off. Peace out!
