someone want to track list delicate sound of thunder for me?

magicbus 03-20-2005 03:24 PM

Disc: 1

1. Shine on You Crazy Diamond
2. Learning to Fly
3. Yet Another Movie
4. Round and Around
5. Sorrow
6. Dogs of War
7. On the Turning Away
Disc: 2

1. One of These Days
2. Time
3. Wish You Were Here
4. Us and Them
5. Money
6. Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2
7. Comfortably Numb
8. Run Like Hell

I've only heard Disc 2, but I like this one better than Pulse I think.

I agree Otherside, I would've liked to see Gilmour more on Pompeii, but it still rules.

EDIT:  mullet.
My only complaint about Live at Pompeii was that they focused just a LITTLE to much on the drumming, I wanted to see Gilmour more.
Specially on One of These Days... It's a pitty Gilmour didn't show up more on that one.

Broken Arrow 03-20-2005 03:25 PM

I've obly seen it on video. And sorry to bring this up again but the mullet is just to sick to watch.

Thanks...the one my dad gave me was out of order :-/

I wish they hadn't split up Echoes in the Live at Pompeii DVD. I really like listening through the whole thing. Also, someone already posted this link in here awhile ago, but I figure I'll post it again because it's amazing. I'm currently listening to a live bootleg of Echoes through it.

Excellent link Deus :thumb:

Is that always streaming?

Yeah, but he owned on that DVD. IMO he made that dvd. I expected Gilmour to do that well, but Nick just suprised the hell out of me on that.

kux0 03-20-2005 07:49 PM

i like where gilmour sat on the ground and just busted out his whammy delay deal. wicked

That is the only time Nick has ever done anything that reaches out of the music. Well that and the drumming on "The Happiest Days of our lives/Abitw pt.2"

Distant Echoes 03-20-2005 07:51 PM

I wouldnt say they focused on drumming too much throughout the dvd, but i would in one of these days. I wouldve never considered that a drum-focused song...i really wanted to see gilmour play in that, but it was all about mason.

eh...win/win situation anyway :)

Im bummed cause i misplaced my pompeii dvd. Now that im getting the CDs to the old floyd, i want to refer back to the dvd every now and then, but am still looking profusely for it

That was my favorite part of the dvd, that and hearing Gilmour recording the fills on Eclipse, until I saw the dvd I never realized how great they were till then.

Yea I guess I didn't mind it because I have a ton of bootleg Floyd dvds so I guess thats why I don't mind not seeing Gimour as much. And I would have liked to see Roger more on One of These Days because that was his strongest song IMO (though Let There Be More Light is a close second).

kux0 03-20-2005 08:03 PM

please enlighten us :)
where did you get your bootlegs from?
I get mine from a used cd/hippie store near where I live. The dvd's I have are the Pink Floyd Video Anthology Volume One, Two and Three. One is all live stuff with Syd, and the best quality live Syd stuff I can find. Also Video Anthology Three has an amazing clip of Comfertably Numb being played back in 1981. Its so cool to see Gilmour playing it on top of the Wall, he must have had a hell of a time doing that. But you can find them on Ebay from time to time.

kux0 03-20-2005 08:12 PM

LUCKY!!! you should rip some of those for me :)

Also, could someone tell what how gilmour acheives the sounds he gets in Any Colour You Like? Is he using a wah pedal, or what?
Yeah, I was kind of wanting to know that as well...

holy ****!! I want those!!

pigonthewing82 03-20-2005 08:30 PM

I just cheaked E-bay and none of the ones I mentioned are on there, but they come up every once in a while so cheak every so often, or if you know of a local store that has imports they might have it. Also stores that sell bongs and stuff like that, but also sell cds might have it. There is a dvd of the Wall Live on E-bay though if you want to cheak out Gilmour playing on top of the Wall. But still look for the antologys, they even have some of the animation they used to play at live shows. Like they have the animation for Time and Welcome to the Machine (both found on anthology 3), and many others I can't think of right now. I was watching the video for Welcome to the Machine just a little while ago today.

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-20-2005 08:44 PM

Hey Gilmour, how did your gig go? Did you mess up on the slide playing?

Another question-How come your brother doesn't post on here any more? He was a pretty good poster, if I recall..

Kingofdudes 03-20-2005 08:46 PM

^The gig hasnt happened yet, so I got plenty of time to practice

Brian doesnt post as much anymore because of work(like me), and he is usually playing Halo 2 during his free time.
