w00t, I have 17 rep points, I am moving up in the world

If Arnold became president, I think I would be willing to live in this country.
/me has 401  Halfway there

Next election will be much better, there are much better Republicans that can run.

That's something that's annoying me about these reputation points; they completely negate my points. True, only you ever had any points (5, and a cookie, if I remember correctly), but I could have started a league table. Ah well.

But if you were to say, give me points, and leave a comment it was from you...it would be appreciated, and then it is sorta like your points ;)

These points are kinda worthless unless you know tons of people, or mods though...sadly I fit in neither category :upset:

Bartender 11-03-2004 08:25 PM

The points should work fine, if you're a good member you'll be noticed by mods.

Anyway, what's everyone doing? I'm watching Falling Down, first time I've seen it.

Permanent Solution 11-03-2004 08:29 PM

I am doing applied linear algebra homework...it's like sticking a pin in my eye...and then wiggling it around for good measure, thankfully my last math class.

ThrashMaster27 11-03-2004 08:31 PM

Hmmm, never noticed this thread before, which is strange. I just got back from an Accounting exam, which I left after an hour as I didn't know bugger all about it. Perhaps I should have listened on the occasion. Ah well, live and learn I say.

That's one of the things I like most about my course; it's about as far from applied and/or algebraic anything as you can get.

Haha, listen in class you say? bollox.

Bartender, what math are you in right now? We had to take this class, and the application is just on the computer, but the level of math is tough. Not to mention it is more words than numbers :(

Kingofdudes 11-03-2004 08:37 PM

I just got done working a little bit on my Rube Project, it is gonna be a serious pain to do :(

I'm doing philosophy, so there's pretty much no hint of maths in there (except vaguely in the systematic representation of arguments).

Rube project?

gmoneyguy 11-03-2004 08:47 PM

Rube Goldberg. You know, those super long machines.

Bartender 11-03-2004 08:50 PM

Oh ok.

Riva 11-03-2004 11:15 PM

What do you think of Seneca, Bartender? I have to work him into a small essay on Metal and releasing anger.

Bartender 11-04-2004 12:20 AM

Seneca as in Lucius Annaeus? I haven't actually read anything of him, so I couldn't have really helped.

Incidentally, the reason I wasn't here is because I was watching Scarface. Good film, although it is now 6:16am, and I have another 9 o'clock thing :(

I've really got to sort my sleeping cycle out.

Riva 11-04-2004 04:44 AM

I think it is fine as it is. And Scarface is a kickarse movie. A whole ton of GTA: Vice City was based on that, you know. :)

I still haven't got my sleeping cycle right, being at uni ****s it up big time!

Bartender 11-04-2004 03:23 PM

^Yeah. I finally got to bed around 7am, and woke up about 6pm.

Yeah, I never realised how much of it was until I actually saw the film though. It's a great film.

I also watched Falling Down last night, which turned out to be another really good film. Check out the front cover and tell me it doesn't look cool.

Eitri Is Berserk 11-04-2004 03:45 PM

Where has Paranoidd been? I havn't seen him in a while...

Bartender 11-04-2004 04:08 PM

I've seen him post in places other than here, but he does seem to have stopped posting here for a while.

Falling Down, is that where in one scene he takes a baseball bat to the shop owner and just takes a soda or something? i remember seeing that ages ago

Bartender 11-04-2004 04:25 PM

Yeah, that's it. Well technically he takes the bat from the shop-owner, then breaks up his store with it.

Riva 11-04-2004 09:53 PM

Hehe, these reputation points are hilarious. I got into a fight with Zakath in The Pit, and he downed me 50 points... four times.

You are only allowed to vote once

Permanent Solution 11-04-2004 09:55 PM

Haha, I got in a fight with Zakath in site, I don't think he docked me though. These points don't do anything for me though, I have already seen so much exploitation of the system in pit threads the only votes I feel inclined to care about are mod ones...

SonorKen 11-04-2004 09:55 PM

Problem solved, I just mod upped ya!

Riva 11-04-2004 09:56 PM

1 vote per user for every 30 votes. Zakath went on a spamming spree.

Whoa. Thanks SFK! :thumb:

My dog is dreaming about something right now. He is fast asleep, but he is making these weird arse barks that get caught in his throat. It is quite amusing

hey SFK, you might want to check out that anti musicianforums guy in the Classic rock poll.
