Great choices.

I'm listening to Bear vs Shark.

pinkyeti 02-11-2005 04:10 PM

I'm listening and digging A.C. Newman. Which reminds me, I've gotta check out the New Pornographers.

Electrocution 02-11-2005 04:13 PM

Xiu Xiu

Zappa 02-11-2005 04:29 PM

Catch 22. Keasbey Nights is a disc of smiles.

br3ad_man 02-11-2005 07:02 PM

Ozzy's "Blizzard of Ozz" \m/

YDload 02-11-2005 07:42 PM

I'm still wrapping myself around ATDI's "In/Casino/Out." It's a nice album; it's much more upbeat than their other albums. However, my favorite songs off the album (Napoleon Solo and Lopsided) aren't very happy at all.

But there's always "Pickpocket" and "Transatlantic Foe."

Bartender 02-11-2005 07:48 PM

I picked up 3 Inches of Blood - Advance and Vanquish today (as an afterthought, really; I needed to buy something to break a £20 note and get bus fare), so I've been having a bit of a metal night. Listened to Advance and Vanquish a couple of times over, then some Iron Maiden, and now I'm working my way through my Manowar stuff. Up next; Scepter.

Prior to this, though, I was carrying on that Bjork listening, and then quite a bit of listening to Together We're Heavy.

talk show host 02-11-2005 07:54 PM

Bjork provides me with everything I need in the music world.

Having said that, i'm looking forward to listening to the 8 Shpongle tracks I managed to download off of Zappa before my computer went schizo.

Anyone who likes X Japan is a dunderhead and a facist. Fact.

I pulled out my ol' Opeth albums, and discovered I could only listen to a few choice tracks from a few choice albums without getting bored. And to think they used to be my favorite band.

And after getting really stoned for the first time in a while (and thus I was pretty dang high), I layed down in the dark and listened to MBV - Loveless and Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye on headphones. It was like hearing the voice of God.

Happymeal 02-11-2005 08:49 PM

I have yet to listen to Kayo Dot/Maudlin of the Well.

It's almost Valentines and I'm digging Mineral - The Power of Failing:p

el doctor 02-11-2005 10:17 PM

Choirs of the Eye is absolutely incredible. I still only have a few Maudlin of the Well MP3s though.

At the moment, I'm listening to Ben Lee's "Breathing Tornados".

I've heard some talk about the band M83 on here, and I have a question. I just saw one of their videos on The Wedge and it was pretty good. I can't even remember the name of the song anymore, but, I want some album suggestions.

Master Arkam Kannon 02-12-2005 01:22 AM

Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is a must. hard to find at times.

wheelz 02-12-2005 08:00 AM

"don't save us from the flames" is the name of the single off the latest m83 album, so there's a good chance it's that. i don't really know though.

Electrocution 02-12-2005 10:38 AM

I'm going CD shopping today. Give me some suggestions (any type of music, though some post-rock might be nice).

Master Arkam Kannon 02-12-2005 12:58 PM

i listened to the song Frankie Teardrop by Suicide last night around 2 in the morning, i'm under the influence of something, and i think there's someone coming to kill me. that's what kind of emotions i want for a song.

dkmaddog 02-12-2005 02:26 PM

I just listened to an entire live preformance by GY!BE. It was quite amazing. Now I am listening to Little Champions.

cb240 02-13-2005 03:55 PM

Comus - First Utterance

Little Man being Erased 02-13-2005 04:49 PM

Yes!!! Another one!!! Yeah, get Dead Cities like MAK said. Have a look at my FA in Other Music for more information.

el doctor 02-13-2005 07:04 PM

Do they (he) tour with a band? I want to try and get a friend or two to see M83 live but I really don't want to go just to see some guy playing with his keyboard all night.

Tangy zizzle 02-13-2005 07:12 PM
