Hey kids.

A Level results were pretty crappy for me:

Art - C (B for first project, C for personal study project and B for my exam piece)
Music Tech - E
Geog - E

I'm off College in September for a Foundation Art year, yay :)

I'm off to Reading next week, anyone going to be there?

PAJJ 08-19-2006 10:19 AM

yeah i'm going to reading, think i'm heading up on wednesday

Jev 08-19-2006 10:21 AM

I'll go to Reading if my friend gets me free tickets.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 10:23 AM

I'm going to Reading if Iron Maiden are announced as headliners at the last minute...and Leeds breaks down.

The Negation 08-19-2006 10:58 AM

I wish the bloody heatwave would come back. Grrr...

Mr. Black 08-19-2006 11:21 AM

I wish they'd release Hell's Highway sooner.

I just went and spent about £150, i baught 2 tee-shirts, a pair of shoes, wellies, a canvas to do my summer project on, some artist pencil crayons (they cost £11!!!!) and i had a driving lesson too.

Im happy i have shoes, i have proper skate shoes, DCs to be precise.

I love my converse, but i cant wear them all the time, they just end up killing my feet.

The Negation 08-19-2006 11:53 AM

I have the coolest converses ever. Theyre black and have this pretty skull pattern on them but the skulls have like leaves growing out of them so they look like flowers...

Oui
Skating shoes are comfy but theyre not the be all end all. I used to have a pair of Etnies which have long been worn out, they were pretty comfy but my converses are comfier.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 12:03 PM

Lol, skate shoes

Boots FTW.

Untitled 08-19-2006 12:03 PM

I think Converse are comfy, but in the wet, there are awefull to wear, and manchester = lot of wet.

I do think if you wear them all the time like i have been doing, then they kill your feet off.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 12:06 PM

Anyone seen Ninja (G)Aidan around recently?

Mexican Bandito 08-19-2006 12:09 PM

Nah, I text him last night but he hasn't replied yet...

Evenin' all :D

Also, Converse are great for summer but they really suck in the winter/rainy times.
Globe and New Rocks FTW

Untitled 08-19-2006 12:10 PM

Thats why there no good in mancheser ^^

MOrrisons suck

Becuase i did overtime the begining of this week, head office is forcing stores who have gave over time out, to cut the hours back down. So in all, because i worked the start of the week, i have to work 5 hours, insted of 9 tomorrow, meaning i loose a fair bit of money, because its pay and half.

We could arrange an MX meet?
Who are you looking forward to seeing?

For me it's:
Pearl Jam
Franz Ferdinand
Placebo
Kaiser Chiefs
Arctic Monkeys
The Streets
Belle & Sebastian
Feeder
Less than Jake
The Futureheads
The Cribs
Wolfmother
Maximo Park
The Rakes
The Kooks
Goldie Lookin Chain
iForward,Russia!
The raconteurs
Be Your Own Pet
2 Many DJ's
Reel big Fish
Bedouin Soundclash
The Klaxons
Pigeon Detectives
The Research
Shut Your eyes and you'll burst into flames
O Fracas
Napoleon IIIrd
The Lodger
Dead Disco

But gutted that some of them will be playing at the same time

I won't be fully there half the time anyway :chug:

You may be eligable for some sort of award for this...possibly one made of poo.

Belle and Sebastian are good. Noone else.

I need ideas for something to draw/sketch. I completly out.
oh right cool

Mainly, but I like a hell of alot of stuff other than that too. Alot of Britpop, Oasis, Blur and Pulp mainly, Radiohead, REM, The Smiths, the Cure, I like some folk stuff like Leonard Cohen, although you can't really classify him as folk, more like folk/pop/wonderful catharsis of the soul, I like Bowie alot, The Fun Lovin' Criminals, err...plenty more:)
And pretty much anything on the metal spectrum, apart from Most Nu-Metal, and crappy 90's stuff like Lamb of God and groove metal like Pantera and such, can't stand that redneck crap.

Englishzip 08-19-2006 01:14 PM
I need ideas for something to draw/sketch. I completly out.
your idea of what taking acid would be like
unless you have already done acid then i have no idea what you should do

Mr. Black 08-19-2006 01:15 PM

Yeah, I've tried that.

Untitled 08-19-2006 01:31 PM

Im crap at coming up with ideas, i will fail this year so badly.

PAJJ 08-19-2006 01:33 PM

self portrait
whatevers outside your window
google people and draw them
draw something with your eyes closed and just by feeling it's shape

The Negation 08-19-2006 01:38 PM

Draw a superhero!

Untitled 08-19-2006 01:42 PM

Draw my summer project!

Speaking of which, i finaly got of my arse, i baught a canvas today, dunno why i was gonna do it on card but canvas ive never used, so i thaught it would be fun.

Just ordered my book of Amozon, i was gonna buy it in waterstones, but it was £13 pound or something, so i baught a second hand one for £5.

Shame im gonna cut it up, i kinda wanna read it before i do.
