They're decent. I clicked on a Der Stürmer vid that was linked to one of their vids, and the comments had me lol'ing. So many strange people out there.

I can't believe I used to take this music seriously. Like, I'll still always listen to it, but the multiple ideologies that this music supports... god damn.

I mean if you think about most death metal they preach just as much vile things, it just doesn't happen to have the element of "DEYR RAZUST!" tagged to their names, which makes them singing about nuclear holocaust, rape, torture and murder somehow more tame.

No it still is more than music to me, and in no way am I saying it was ever just a phase. But I don't remember ever saying black metal is my life because I've never embraced any sort of lifestyle it encourages or supports.

NSBM is such a small percentage of BM bands out there anyways, so its not a big deal.

That's because NSBM music embraces ideology, hate, and prejudice, regardless of the fact it may pass it off as white nationalism and pride. The vile themes death metal bands sing about are usually tongue-in-cheek because if they had practiced what they preached they'd be in prison. They're not supporting hate nor ideology.

Extreme music has an ideology behind it no matter how hard people try to deny it. I mean if you constantly sing about nuking all of the big cities, killing untold millions, how is that any worse than supporting the extermination of jews?

Yeah but it's not as dangerous of an ideology as nazism is. Of course extreme music has ideology about it, any bands that sings [I]technically[/I] has an ideology to it, but which one is more likely? Are you more likely to drop atomic bombs, kill your fellow citizens, rape an animal (common themes of death metal, hmm?), or join common hate groups? NSBM preaches a message that a lot of deranged, lonely, depressed teenagers grasp at because they simply don't fit in.

And plus, if you ask most death metal musicians what they truly believe, do you think it's that we should destroy everybody? No. Most of them are pretty cool dudes, but can we say that about 'artists' that play NSBM? Let's look at Varg.

True. But it is also true for non-racist stuff as well.



It just comes down to the individual. I can listen to bands like Arghoslent and not agree with what they say. Even though the "100% hand picked cotton" description for their t-shirts is sort of lol. But really, they're just straight forward, great death metal. Same with a lot of BM bands that might have a swastika or deaths head on their albums.

I question what Arghoslent really believe. Some of their lyrics/albums titles are just too funny to be taken serious sometimes.
