what are some good new technical death metal albums? i want to buy my little bro something good for christmas. he's into stuff like behemoth and aeon and stuff.
thank you.
Hour of Penance is pretty lame imo don't get him that. I would recommend him Iniquity- Grime (not really that tech but awesome) or maybe Nile sounds like the type of person that would like that |

Wow, I'm addicted to Blogspot records...just downloaded that Vomiturition album and Been Caught Buttering by Pungent Stench plus a couple of others.
|
I really need to get Vomiturition.

get A Leftover mappy
so ****ing good |
I'm listening to it now. I'm about half way through it. Pretty good.
I've been on a huge old school kick lately, and it doesn't help that almost every album cover is golden. |
Yeah. Have you heard Morpheus Descends?
|
No sir.
|
Get Chronicles of the Shadowed Ones and Ritual of Infinity. Both of these are some of the finest death metal albums I've heard.
|

I just read a review by Fenriz about an album by a Norwegian DM band called Obliteration. It looks good, downloading right now.
Here is the review if anyone is interested: "The abnormally credible labe; of the TIGER record shop in Oslo release this 2nd full length from the new heroes of KOLBOTN, Norway, and what can i say - In 1989-1991 we worked on our two first albums (really "SOULSIDE JOURNEY" and "GOATLORD"), we worked and worked like crazy with rehearsals and songwriting, to create two fantastic epic dark death metal albums. Well, Obliteration SUCCEEDED in what we in Darkthrone tried to do on our two first albums - they have here delivered a brand new old organic sounding death metal masterpiece, but it isn't only death, as these fantastic musicians like ALL the right bands from when they were born and BEYOND, from the 60s 'till 90's crust and 80s thrash and even a touch of sludge (remember DREAM DEATH?) and black - I present you the Norwegian album of the year - easily. People are going nuts all over the underground scene to NEKROPSALMS!!" |

i was never really impressed with ritual but chronicles is awesome |
I like Chronicles the most, but both are good.
Thanks for uploading the woods of desolation albums to your blog, berkay :) |
that's cool. i only had to upload one of the splits, i could find links for the others.
i wasnt able to get links for their two demo tapes (i haven't heard either of them) but i was in contact with one of the band's labels over the weekend buying some stuff and the guy said that there might be a repressing of their second demo, have to get that if they do. |
Nice. I have high hopes for this, will listen tomorrow since I'm staying home sick.
|
listening to chronicles right now, this is v good

I'm listening to Witchrist (new zealand band with members from diocletian) for the first time. This is really good stuff. |
