I don't know, I'm skeptical if that's really Metallica.
Doesn't sound too much like them
Woh what's with all the new posters?!
Well, I guess I'm one of them now! ;)
I'm just starting to learn the bass guitar and am proud to say I can play Enter Sandman up to speed now. Well, I've got to start somewhere right?? :)

Trying to build up the dexerity in my fingers (haven't played any guitar at all) but will be learning nothing but Metallica that's for sure! Rock on!!!:naughty:

Bazarov 01-05-2006 06:43 PM

I think Enter Sandman, is most likely the main song most guitarist learn first when it comes to Metallica. It was mine. Though I wanted to learn One first, my guitar teacher though it'd be best if I started with Enter Sandman though.

I keep changing my mind as to if its genuine or not.
We shall see when the album finally comes out :)
Rumor is new "studio" album is on the way. Maybe we get another Black Album quality album or even better a new AJFA who knows. Hopefully it will rock hard.
On wikipedia it says early 2006 but I didnt see anything on the site

Mein bass 01-05-2006 08:25 PM

The first song I learned on bass by metallica was master of puppets. :-\

I learned the intro to Enter Sandman first, but I learned Fade to Black (whole song) first.

And yes, welcome Selks. Just keep doing stuff like that. I've been doing this thing that sounds cool and that is make my delay pretty slow and just do

-----------------5-6-7-8---------
---------5-6-7-8-----------------
-5-6-7-8-------------------------

--8-7-6-5------------------------
----------8-7-6-5----------------
------------------8-7-6-5-7------

on any fret and and string. it sounds cool with delay, but you're a bassist so I don't know how it sounds with a bass

Lucky for you I always have my bass.Sounds pretty good but it's insanely easy man.

iluvkirkhammett 01-05-2006 09:36 PM

I've heard that the new album will be out either March or May this year.

Grimm 01-05-2006 09:38 PM

Has anyone heard the song Don't fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult? theres a bit in it just before the main guitar solo that sounds heaps like the start of Pulling Teeth but it's played on guitar.I wouldn't be surprised if its where Cliff got the idea for it, apparently he listened to Blue Oyster Cult.

March is to soon, but i hope the release something in the first half of this year so they can go to Gigantour(yeah, that's a long shot).

Edit: Gimm, could you give me the exact time?

Mein bass 01-05-2006 09:51 PM

I think metallica should take a hint from soad and release double albums so they can see how the fans react to one before releasing the other.
Word.

heavy metal kid 01-05-2006 09:53 PM

They did it with Load and Re Load.

Mein bass 01-05-2006 09:57 PM

Well it's time to do it again.

Britton 01-05-2006 10:01 PM

I know the Orion is bad quality
Dude I Love it!

and Metallica will never be on Gigantour.

Mein bass 01-05-2006 10:05 PM

Why do you say that?

Dave Mustaine...

heavy metal kid 01-05-2006 10:13 PM
Dave Mustaine...
Well Dave already forgive Metallica, i think the only problem will be the hardcore Dave Mustaine fans.

Umm sounds similar, but not the same.

Mein bass 01-05-2006 10:36 PM

I could just imagine those Dave fans in the audience if Metallica took the stage.

iluvkirkhammett 01-05-2006 11:32 PM

Have you posted 115 posts in just one day?

Mein bass 01-05-2006 11:35 PM

No.

iluvkirkhammett 01-06-2006 12:06 AM

hahaha that may not be the best idea, dude. i know nothing about bass but it's gotta be a good thing to have a good variety of influence.

Ghost of Perdition, that alleged metallica song sounds as if it may not really be james

PepsiMetal 01-06-2006 01:22 AM

Maybe metallica would be on gigantour if they would headline. Mustaine probably wouldn't allow that to happen though. lol
