popinfresh 11-26-2004 03:11 AM

I got burnt today. Only on my forearms though. And my stomach. It's funny, cos in the lines between the muscles didn't get burnt. So it's like a two shade six pack.
I had an allright day at the pools, but yeah. It's going to be 32 tommorow aparently and same with monday when i go to the beach. Go go Australia.

Hows everyone else been?

so? maybe he bought the warwick for the tone. there is nothing wrong with root notes in my opinion. if you want to see a good bass player, go see a jazz or funk band.

PaulR 11-26-2004 03:12 AM

How did you get burned?

And I'm OK. I need to get changed though, going guitar shopping with a friend and i need to buy a strap.

Well it's around 25-35 degrees this time of year... celcius. And it's not even the start of summer yet :p

In otherwords.. the sun burnt me.

PaulR 11-26-2004 07:58 AM

In G Major what is the chord consisting of B, F#, A, D# called? (im doing music theory homework)

Wintermute 11-26-2004 08:57 AM

Just listening again to The Tenacity Of Genes And Dreams by Stu Hamm... what a legend that guy is... This has to be one of the best bass songs ever recorded. It starts off mellow and nicely arranged, by the middle it sounds like something Dream Theater might do, and then it careers back into the mellowness... Satriani sounds great on it too.

I command you all to hear this song as soon as you can.

Radiobass81 11-26-2004 09:00 AM

I played my fretless again, today... GRARG it's horrible :upset:.

dont worry about it , fretless is all about familiarity with the fretboard

Radiobass81 11-26-2004 09:11 AM

It's not that; my precision has improved inmensely somehow. It's just the tone... I should have gone with a Yamaha :(.

Left Shoe 11-26-2004 09:13 AM

what do you have now?

Radiobass81 11-26-2004 09:16 AM

LTD fretted (incredibly good for the price)
SX fretless

Left Shoe 11-26-2004 09:20 AM

so the fretless ones from sx arent great then

Radiobass81 11-26-2004 09:25 AM

Nop. A fretted would porbably sound great, tho. The main probelm with my bass is the fretboard.

I don't know if tthis is what you're asking, but maybe it is.....it would be a

III- VII- II- V progression. :amaze:

Hope it helped ;)

Radiobass81 11-26-2004 09:30 AM

Hey Nisakss. Haven't seen you in a while. Anything new?

nisakss 11-26-2004 09:36 AM

Nah..not much. I've been around, just not posting too much....I'm full of work right now. But that's fine.

Apart from that, I'm happy cause I've managed to play quite a lot recently, and trying to learn the lemmon song....without much success.

neal_672 11-26-2004 09:37 AM

Evenin y'all

Just realised i've been here over a year :thumb: :D

the actual chord with those notes in it , not those specific chords

Left Shoe 11-26-2004 09:39 AM

im triyng to learn teen town with moderate success

nisakss 11-26-2004 09:42 AM

Oh Ok..... I'm sure the third (B) would be a Bmajor, the II (A) would be an A minor, the VII(F#) would be F# minor.

The fifth # I think would be a D# minor, or maybe a D#7 minor

nisakss 11-26-2004 09:51 AM

I'd be cool if MTV pimped your bass!!!.....with LED's, crazy body-work, leather and sway straps, rotating pick-ups......I'd be cool a transparent body with these electric thing inside...like tose things that when you put your hand on it moves to where it is....what's their name??
