But anyway, I like Morrissey's lyrics and I really like the Smiths, but I really don't like Morrissey as a person. I didn't know anyone could be THAT pretentious. And grumpy.

I let the pen write by itself because lyircs are awesome.

My pen and I are now at odds. We have had a falling out. Its now branching off into its own area of poetry.

I like writing on a pad of paper. Just seems more suited to allowing me to go off on tangents. Plus I can write wherever I want.

95% of the stuff I post on here is written in the 'post new thread' window, from start to finish.

Spontaneity for the win

My floor is covered with screwed up balls of paper and I've got single lines pinned to the walls, just little one/two liners that I'll use in something.

about half the time i write something down on paper, write it on notepad and edit/continue on from there

i used to write like a whole page of lines, and then edit it down and change things aroudn from there

Yeah, I really should make notes of all those cool little lines that crop up from time to time. I tend to work on the basis that if it's any good, it'll stick in my head anyway, and if it doesn't stick, then it can't have been that good a line. :)

That's ok if you work on the provision that you will in fact have good ideas.

i forget good lines all the time

I write at work alot, on the back of e-mails 'n stuff :)

I write a bunch of good lines in my cell phone and then forget completely the context it was in and get all nervous all of the sudden and nothing makes sense at all. Ergh.
