I don't care how "overrated" DSotM might be, but I usually can't go a week without finding myself listening to it... I usually just listen to it from start to finish but often skip Money, don't get me wrong, Money is a great song, but I don't like where it is on this album for some reason. Dark Side is good for this because it flows so well and we all know songs like Time or Brain Damage have those certain parts that just pop into all of our heads at one time or another. It's stuck in your head after you hear it for the first time... well it sure was for me which is why I am still constantly listening to it 4 years later.

So someone upload a song in the YSI thread labeled Pink Floyd - Nile Song. I get all excited thinking that it is a song that I have never heard before, but when I play it, I realize immediatly that it isn't Floyd. Anyone know what this song is/who does it?

I find myslef everynight listening to atleast 3 full Floyd albums, i cant go a day without floyd, and lately, i find myslef only listening to them,and like i have weeks for a album,2 weeks ago i listened to The Final Cut 3 times a day, now its obscured, and on and on ect......i just cant get enough of floyd and everywhere i go the music is in my head....its truely amazing...

They do have a song called Nile Song off of More, if I remember correctly it's almost punkish sounding.

I know the nile song, mayble you got a different song under that name, but it sounds nothing like any other pink floyd. You can tell that it's dave's voice, but its actually screaming singing. Yes, sort of. It's great becasue you can't be traced on it, and it's really good for getting things. It's kind of hard to explain, it's not really a prog you search on, you click links on website that connect you to a single server, and you download the files off of other people who are downloading at the same time.

Just bought Animals. I now own it as well as DSOTM, The Wall, WYWH, and Meddle. I've been listening since I got it and it's awesome. I'm about halfway into pigs, and grunting noises are playing in the background.

It may eventually surpass WYWH as my favorite Floyd.

Yeah Obscured by Clouds is about 5 and a half minutes long, and when your in is about 9 and a half. They do a lot of really good jamming with them. this version of Echoes though is the high light of their career that I've heard. I have a huge respect for the band already, but this made it even bigger. And I haven't even heard the Dark Side of the Moon tracks.

Obscured by Clouds and When You're In are great, two of my favorites.

animals is probably aboutr equal to wish.., maybe not quite as good. meddle and darkside blow those two away, for me.

Yeah the only problem with it is that since its a bootleg for a second in the middle there is this weird noise, I mean its no bigger of a problem then a cd that skips once or twice......but we all know how annoying that is.

And did the back up singers on the Dark Side of the Moon album follow them around for the tour, because they sound the same.
