Kaada
|
The Misfits & Tiger Army, Godspeed!
Good man. I recently picked up the Misfits Collection (boxset), with remasters. After all this time! Tiger Army are great, saw them about a month ago for ridiculously cheap. Smackers: is this the Kaada who worked with Patton recently? I heard one of the songs one night on internet radio. Sounds enticing... |
I don't know of any other Kaada, so probably. I like the album he did with Patton (Romances), and I was actually just listening to it earlier today.
Bill Hicks Live DVD.
Which one? |
I still haven't stopped listening to Godspeend You! Black Emperor since the first time I heard them...
Also I've watch some local jazz and funk bands play and they were awesome, I didn't think we would have talented musicians like that over here. |
There's a video on Subterranean right now of a Handsome Boy Modeling School song, featuring Del! I'm surprised I still remembered that guy's awesome voice since I really hadn't heard much of him since that Gorillaz song or maybe something on a Tony Hawk Skateboarding soundtrack. I guess his voice is more unique and memorable than I thought.
Also, anybody heard about a band called Circa Survive? They're... I dunno, post-hardcore or something? But the singer has a very high-pitched feminine voice, and I happen to find that very neat despite how it often turns others away. Besides that, the rest of the song seemed just fine. |
Which one?
Bill Hicks Live: Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian. It has One Night Stand, Relentless, Revelations, and Just A Ride (Documentary). Great, great stuff. |
i want to hear some of this handsome boy modeling school but i cant find any mp3s anywhere

Go to the "yousendit" thread and ask for someone to upload you some. |
the arcade fire--they are worthy of the buzz
|
Diggin the pixies as usual
but i just moved to Germany and like i have never heard adam green before. Its folk music with some of the most stupid and disgusting lyrics, that i cant help but love. Especially off Friends of Mine cd. No Legs is a good song. Anyone ever listened to or listen to this. its pretty popular in Germany. |
Since my last post, I have listened mostly to:
Radiohead Moby Decemberists An Albatross Converge |
I havent posted here in ages but:
October Falls (dark folk) www.octoberfalls.cjb.net Midnight Laserbeam (indie/glitch/dance/whatever) Help She Can't Swim (spazzy indie rock) and Earth remixes |
Bonnie Prince Billy
|
QOTSA
Choking Victim Trophy Scars Pg. 99 Circle Takes The Square |
Secret Chiefs 3
|
I'll get flamed for this, but my love of Motley Crue is too great. Been listening to 'Too Fast for Love' all day; ala New York Dolls. I've also been playing Joy Division 'Live at the Moonlight Club' (Bootleg), 'In/Casino/Ou' by ATDI and 'Steady Diet of Nothing' by Fugazi.
|
I have been listening to Hendrix and Porcupine Tree all day.
|
I have been listening to Hendrix and Porcupine Tree all day.
The only song I've heard from the latter is "Trains," but it's a really nice song and it has sparked my interest in the band. |
queen - body language, simple and fun song to play along to as well.
i listened to Kid A in the car the other night as i was driving home.. my mind still hasn't returned to normal. |
The only song I've heard from the latter is "Trains," but it's a really nice song and it has sparked my interest in the band.
Yeah, I'm the same. I've heard "Trains" and "Hello," and I love both of 'em. Actually, I don't know why I haven't looked into them further. |
*listens to In Absentia in another attempt to like it*
|

|
listened to Tom Waits my god is he a poet what a voice and The Pixies as usual
I don't think sentences are allowed to be that long, but great choices! I'm listening to the new Gn'R leak. What a scream! |
What songs have been leaked in this "new" leak?
|
the new Gorillaz song... pretty rad stuff. Also getting into some Massive Attack, and Sonic Youth. I swear, every time I listen to Daydream Nation I find something that I completely overlooked before.
|
What songs have been leaked in this "new" leak?
Just one. It's a radio recording of what seems to be a demo of the song IRS. |
Diecast - "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies"
Heaven Shall Burn - "Antigone" God Forbid - "Gone Forever" I've found a new passion in music;METALCORE. |
Beck's Odelay
- I'm planning on doing a three dimensional project based upon the song "Derelict" The National - Alligator |
Beck's Odelay
- I'm planning on doing a three dimensional project based upon the song "Derelict"
Which song is that? The dusty country/hip-hop one? Actually, that can describe a lot of them, but I don't know most of the songs by heart. |
Track 5. After The New Pollution and before Novacane.
It's a slower paced song with eclectic percussion throughout. Then it transforms into a characteristically Asian sounding instrument. You'd recognize it mostly for it's chorus "Blow back, derelict wind, lay my soul in the foul of the air". Ack. Just listen to it, my description is poor. |
I was recently very sick of all my music and was only listening to the radio so i went out and bought Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf. Then my mate burnt me David Bowie - CHANGESBOWIE, and now another friend is going to burn me NOFX - Pump up the Valuum and Punk in Drublic. Suddenly I have too much to listen to.
I am sorry for wasting your time with this stupid post. |
Calexico - Convict Pool
Gruvis Malt - With the Spirit of the Traffic Jam Mare - s/t (they need to hurry up and record some more, 5 songs ain't enough goshdarnit!) Beatles - Sgt. Peppers, Revolver |
Been listening to some new leaked and live tracks by NIN. Some are looking excellent, some are not. Only time will tell (two weeks!). The Line Begins to Blur seems to be a standout track. Violent and heavy as ever.
I've also been listening to Gatsby's American Dream, Mozart on Crack, and Wrecking Krew. I need to get that new Patton record with the X-Ecutioners, I saw a hip-hop doco on scratching and they featured. Roc-Raida is awesome. |
I'm angry so I'm listening to metal and some Converge.
|
^ I usually listen to Converge when I'm kinda sad.
Today I feel like listening to Gerogerigegege - Tokyo Anal Dynamite Yes - Close to the Edge Out Hud - Let Us Never Speak of It Again Comeback Kid - Turn it Around xPOSIx |
After watching "The Graduate" in film class, I'm in a kinda Simon and Garfunkel mood. My interest is renewed in creating a walking bassline for that Mrs. Robinson song. It just cries out for one!
|
I'm diggin the All-American Rejects, The Hives, and Red Hot Chili Peppers
|
the bass solo in Higher Ground owns me, even though i dont play bass...
