Mister_Che 10-19-2009 07:09 PM

Guys, stop fighting. :(

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 07:10 PM

nawww man its soothing soundscapes are soooo purrfect for emphasizing proper breathing, and correcting spinal and pelvic alignment. i feel so aware of where my body is in space when i hear the vocals. sometimes at night i put my headphones on my pregnant belly and let (soon to be!) nepenthe jr. listen to it.

Mister_Che 10-19-2009 07:12 PM

lol

Ventriloquist 10-19-2009 08:54 PM

Just listened to The Gentleman Losers s/t. Amazing stuff. Check them out(Thanks to Nepenthe for the rec).

Txus 10-20-2009 02:52 PM

Yeah, that band is pretty good.

Nepenthe 10-20-2009 03:02 PM

im pretty disappointed with their latest, dustland. its good, but its a pretty standard ambient album. they totally lost the unique sound they had on the self titled.

Txus 10-20-2009 03:05 PM

havent heard that one

Ventriloquist 10-20-2009 03:13 PM

Agree. First listened to Dustland it wasn't bad but a bit generic like you said. s/t is really sweet.

what? WHAT THE FUCK. Officialy the best day of this year for me. I didn't know they were releasing an album! Possibly in my top 5 fav bands.

Txus 10-20-2009 03:31 PM

Yeah, its called Here be Dragons. Just finished downloading!

I'm definitely ordering this.

Ventriloquist 10-20-2009 04:36 PM

Line up is the same?

Txus 10-20-2009 04:44 PM

"In comparison with TKDE's debut album and the following "Mutations", "Here Be Dragons" distinguish itself with his focus on very clear acousticsounds, pulsating organic basses and a wider room left for Charlotte Cegarra's vocals. Still drawing inspiration from old movies, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble delivers here a soundtrack to a dense, intense yet-to-be-made film, shifting from the touching scenes of "Embers" and "Seneca" to the darker and perilous ones of "Caravan!" and "Samhain Labs" (named after TKDE's studio).

An intense, coherent and original work which required an uncommon amount of work, care and perfectionism, "Here Be Dragons" is definitely TKDE's most accomplished and important release to date, and should show the path that this band intends on taking on his already remarkable career."

Ventriloquist 10-20-2009 04:47 PM

Vocals? That's going to be interesting. Can't wait to hear the dark and perilous tracks.

Txus 10-20-2009 05:07 PM

The vocals are so beautiful, what a great album!

f'n awesome, i can't wait to hear this, i never acquired mutations, but their self titled was great

Ventriloquist 10-20-2009 05:21 PM

About to listen to it... Going to edit in a bit and tell how awesome it is.

feav233 10-20-2009 05:44 PM

so how was mutations compared to the self titled?

Txus 10-20-2009 05:48 PM

its very similar but its a little more dinamic, if it had been longer it would probably had been much better.

feav233 10-20-2009 05:49 PM

well, might as well try to get both that and the here be dragons

Txus 10-20-2009 05:52 PM

yeah definitely do that :)
