Guys, we should do what they're doing the the Metallica forums. Make a cover of a Megadeth song. Get one person to do drums, another for rhythm, another for lead etc.. We're trying to get all the Official threads to do this.

I would do Holy Wars... but my sound card is so bad I can't record anything audible.

I could contribute some guitar to the thing. I don't know much Megadeth, but I could definately learn it.

What song should we do? I know we have a while until we decide this, but what the heck.

Sorry but I can't record at all until the summer gets going. But for easy songs you could do Sweating Bullets, Symphony of Destruction, Dread and the Fugitive Mind, or She-wolf.

I know loads of megadeth, Rythm, some mustaine solos, if I figure out how to record **** and upload it I would love to do this, im in for any action, once i figure out the recording sh'it.


edit: I can do all of sweating bullets, and She wolf, rude awakening version, love the solo. devil's Island, although I must still learn Chris polands solo. I dont know, I just know lots.

I could do guitar parts for Holy Wars or Take No Prisoners, Sweating Bullets too, I'd have to relearn the solo though. I'd have to record it with my friend's 8-track.

alright, now that I can record and upload, I would be thrilled to do a cover, lets decide on a song, I could do rythm guitar, some leads, and give vocals a good shot, maybe. I look like dave mustaine, why not try to sing like him? :)

Does anyone here know the She-Wolf Rude Awakening version. I was wondering if that would be extrememly difficult for a 1 1/2 year player to play, i can mostly only play rythm megadeth such as the classics (Holy Wars ect.) but I'm wondering how difficult it would be for me to take on all of the little lead parts in the Rude Awakening version.

Obviously that stuff looks difficult, but I just don't know how difficult until I try it.

Mustaine's solos are not that hard, but I have never tried the other ones.

Righto. I play bass. I want to be in with the R&M official threads competition. I got ousted from Metallica, so I wouldn't mind doing some Megadeth. Unfortunately, I've not really listened to much. So if you guys want to enter the competition, consider me for bass duties, hehe. I'd have to be sent the song to learn (if the Met thread does the Four Horsemen, how about Mechanix? :lol: )

You can do whatever song you want, but remember its a competition so you might want to pick a challenging song.

Well just say someone does rhythm guitar, they can send you the file and you can record drums over it, then you send it to the person doing lead or whatever. You can just send it to them through e-mail or something, or put it on [url]http://www.yousendit.com[/url].

Right... Basically, if everyone picks the same song, and everyone records themselves playing along to the same CD version of it, it should eb easy to put together, right?

Killing is my Business....that would be sweet. First off, who knows any 'deth song on guitar, bass, and vocals?...I was thinking of doing either Holy Wars, Wake Up Dead, or Ashes in Your Mouth. If anyone has any other ideas of what we should be play and can play, just name them.

Peace Sell would be a good one. Not too hard.

Trust, Take No Prisoners, My Last Words or Peace Sells would be pretty kickass, and I know them all on bass.
