You think a system restore would do the trick?
I think it has something to do with Winamp. Maybe the newest version is a little buggy? I didn't have problems till I donwloaded it.

Dragonforce in 19 hours \m/

I need to go to bed, I have a morning shift at work...

Dragonforce more than makes up for it though

Bastard . I wish Dragonforce would come tour Canada so I could see them.

Am I the only one here who doesn't like Dragonforce?

Shattered_Future 09-16-2005 06:13 PM
Am I the only one here who doesn't like Dragonforce?
Probably...though I can't listen to them for more than 3 or so songs at a time.

Kingofdudes 09-16-2005 06:14 PM

I dont understand all the raving about them, but I think they are ok.

superpeer 09-16-2005 06:27 PM

I'd go crazy if I had to watch a whole gig. Or grab the nearest sword and kill myself.

That's only ok because you said sword, at a Dragonforce show hehe. I like Dragonforce.

Arucard 09-16-2005 06:30 PM

Its because you hate Power Metal vocals, and they whole 'happy' feel of the music, yes?

You need to become happier Jelle. Put down the Burzum record, dress in a wizards robe and put on some Sonata Arctica.

You get puns. :p

My ears would bleed from the high vocals and endless cheesy guitar leads.

The name alone. Dragonforce, come on.

Poons? What?

Better than you. :)

I like dragons. I want to get a Dragon sleeve :(

Jom 09-16-2005 06:41 PM

The reason why I don't hate DragonForce is because I only have three songs on my computer. Yay.
I'm going to a wedding too tomorrow only wearing my jeans and my Nile T-shirt. What's the point in getting dressed formally?

whatever happened to caring about looking good?

I sometimes feel old in that regard.
Or grab the nearest sword and kill myself.

A wise decision...swords would be everywhere at a Dragonforce show.

Caring about appearance is juvenile.

I have a sword :(

Jom 09-16-2005 06:50 PM

I like dressing up. I pretend to think that I look sharp. Well, anyone in a nice suitcoat can look sharp. ZZ Top Ist Krieg!

I mean, I had to dress up for my cousin's wedding this past summer, and I dressed up for Homecoming back in high school.

Any other day, I'll rock a t-shirt/hoodie and shorts because that's the most comfortable look for me. But I don't mind dressing up at all, it's a nice excuse to pretend that you feel or look important, heh.

EDIT:

Who [in America] has seen those new Burger King commercials where the Burger King is in NFL highlights intercepting the ball or scoring a touchdown?

Man, those are so funny. The music cracks me up.

I concur. I don't hate them, but I don't see what's so great about them.

So is wearing a t-shirt and jeans to a formal occaision.

Is wearing a suit and tie something I would wear everyday? Not particularly. But if the situation demands it, I will gladly dress up. Nothing wrong with looking respectable every once in a while.

That's the NFL Films music...I love that stuff.

Formality is juvenile.

Except it's uncomfortable and if you wouldn't wear that sort of thing every day it's a little fake. But that makes no sense unless we delve into my psyche :)

Me has. Those Burger King commercials always frightened me a little. That King looks disturbing. :( And in the first ones he would be standing outside of a window, and the guy would open the blinds and the thing would be right there holding the new breakfast burger. I that was me, I would've been scared quite a bit by seeing that.

This is not going to work, because looking nice when the occasion requires is just something I was raised to do.

Don't conform to that mindset, open your mind. Why does formality exist does it serve any purpose?

I should clarify there, heh.

I'm saying that the music is definitely apropos for the theme, but the King's goofyass grin the entire time makes the whole thing hysterical for me.

But that was the best one! Hahahaha. I don't even eat at Burger King, but their commericals with the King are so much better than the other fast food chains' commercials.

In regards to formal attire (again): I have no qualms about dressing up when I have to... but I'm not going to dress like an Old Navy/Gap model every single day. Give me a pair of blue jeans/shorts and a t-shirt/hoodie every other day I don't have to dress up.

I don't really eat there either. I was just eating McDonalds a few hours ago. Those commercials were so weird. The NFL one is funny as hell though.

I don't know why it exists and I don't care, I like looking nice on occasion. I'd rather be "close-minded" than look crummy at a wedding or job interview. I like how I look in a suit. Is that a crime?

No, but nor is it wrong to not care about looking good. :)

Personally, I think you give off a better impression coming in confident and not dressed to the nines in an interview. The clothing gives a false sense of confidence. If I saw a guy come in dressed in rags and totally confident, I'd probably give him the job over someone else because it takes that much more confidence to do that. And formality doesn't serve any purpose except to give high-end clthing retailers a job imo. Being comfortable is key to anything.
