Anyone up to anything much tonight?

Low-B-Mundy 12-17-2004 08:49 AM

Good morning all,

I’ve been listening to Incubus lately ............. A lot of nice bass lines

jamesr 12-17-2004 08:50 AM

Hi all

Started my project SX bass yesterday. I am going to have a big write up on it on monday with pics.

neal_672 12-17-2004 08:56 AM

Incubus rule B Mundy :thumb: good choice...

I've been listening to Primus a lot (for a change). My new challenge is to learn how to play their cover of Master Of Puppets... It may take a while

My amp came today! But i'm not allowed it until Xmas :upset:
My amp came today! But i'm not allowed it until Xmas :upset:
that must be so tempting! what amp you get?

neal_672 12-17-2004 09:09 AM

Laney HCM 160. Nothing amazing, but it's solid and it's got the power i need for the gigs i play. My Russian Big Muff came today too, they're in boxes in the garage, so i can't even get them out to play without my parents knowing due to having to open the boxes :upset:

Getting my Tobias 6er in mid January too :thumb: w00t can't wait :D

peeted 12-17-2004 09:12 AM

how much do ur parents spend on you at chrismas?

neal_672 12-17-2004 09:16 AM

Well the amp and pedal combined were about £270 and that's pretty much all i'm getting apart from maybe the odd CD and a new lead so as to play the Muff...

I'm buying the 6er myself with my wages...

twopelu 12-17-2004 09:18 AM

Hi all, how is it going...

This aftenoon I go out to try some basses... mmm anxious...

neal_672 12-17-2004 09:23 AM

Hey all! Been a while since I've posted... how is everyone?

I actually have GOOD news- I got a real job! No, really... I interviewed last Thursday night and they called me Friday and wanted me to start ASAP! I told them I had to turn in my two weeks notice(s) and they were cool with that...

So say hello to the new Technology Coordinator for Mid-State Education District! Whoo hoo! They offered me a pretty sweet starting salary, which means I can also quit my PT gig at the hospital here, which means I get my weekends back. I am just SO PSYCHED!

And did I mention its Friday? And that I'm going to see SuperDown this weekend again? Oh yeah.... its gonna be good...

PaulR 12-17-2004 02:08 PM

Evening All. Whats up?

PaulR 12-17-2004 02:09 PM
you'd need a pretty big tree..... :D
Or a really small house...

Spaceman Spiff 12-17-2004 02:12 PM

today i went to school for my 3rd and 4th periods.

3rd period i handed in an essay, which is why i went. i was in class for about 10 minutes, then a quartet was born, me and 3 other guys when around the school singing christmas carols for about an hour.
usually it isn't something i'd do, but i figured it would be fun. and it was lots of fun, singing for teachers, students, the principal, and everyone loved us.

nothing is for sure, but we said that we'd try out for the next Music Night that we have at our school, which is just people going and performing, music/singing, on stage in front of whoever wants to come to the school to see it.

ShelBel 12-17-2004 02:15 PM

How about a house under a bunch of trees?

Edited to add: Spiff, that sounds like fun! I love caroling, its great!

Spaceman Spiff 12-17-2004 02:17 PM

decorate the trees and put a big bow on top of the house.

Cool. I went into school for two hours, and sat around in the common room for that. What a waste of time.
