Ugh, my PE coach is Satan.

I don't know if you guys had this in high school (I'm sure you did), but we had to keep our elbows bent in push-up position for three 30 second trials, which hurt like hell. He was cracking somes cruel jokes during it too, like in the second trial, he was all "...26, 27, 28 -- hmm, there's 28 days in Feburary", it was pretty funny in a malevolent point of view. We also had to do 80 crunches.

Then we had to run a mile.

I think the most of a workout I ever got was when we had to run a mile in under 10 minutes. I basically ran a lap, walked a lap, jogged a lap, walked a lap. :shrug:

Meh, I average about ten minutes everytime I do the mile.

My coach said we'll be running at least 1 1/2 miles every week. In general, my coach is a pretty nice guy. The new football coach, well...

You know Sargent Hartman from Full Metal Jacket? Yeah, that's practically him. But it fits fine, because our football team need reformation and disipline, bad. Our team was like 1-12 last year.

1-12 is quite lame. So far, our football team is off to a valiant 0-2 start. They've been outscored 12 to ~87.

Our varsity team is notoriously known locally to be abysmal.

We have the same problem. We used to be the top team in our nine-team division, but then uh, something happened. I think it has to do with the school making a public issue about the fact that they may or may not be introducing drug screening as a prerequisite to participating in athletics. Sad, but extremely true. I'm sure at least half of the guys on the football get drunk or do some sort of drug at least once every two weeks. :(

I think it's like that for most schools.

In art, I'm at this table with these two varsity players who are constant tokers. They're pretty funny guys, in a stupid way. It's extremely goofy humor, but they have the cliche "dood, im so baked now" mentality.

The wake n bakers are quite halarious, yeah. I mean, if you're that dedicated to weed that you get up before school and smoke, then hey, be my guest. Really the only thing that makes me some what angry are the guys who come to school drunk. If you do it on a regular basis, than you should just give up on a life. :cool: I'm mainly thinking of this one guy in my AP Composition class(Yes, he somehow maintains a 4.0) who shows up smashed out of his gourde every other day. He never gets caught too. I mean, it's not like he's subliminal about it, it's fairly obvious.

In my high school, something like 75% of the guys in my entire graduating class got drunk or did pot every week

Speaking of drug testing, here's an odd fact. Our Hockey league has introduced drug testing this year. They are testing for marijuana, cocaine, etc. etc.. The strange part is, they're NOT testing for steroids... :confused:. Now I realize that steroids aren't illegal, but with all the recent uproar about steroid use in professional sports, wouldn't it make sense to stop the possibilty of their use in amateur sports?? I was very puzzled when they told us that.

My school was closed today due to a burst pipe of some sort. So, I have a whole Friday to waste away. :cool:
