Maggot Dream 07-28-2006 10:34 PM

Oh really? I had no idea. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I had no idea that calling you archaic meant I didn't know she is a lesbian. Idiot.

See, that'd be fine, but you used it in an insulting context, which is just....stupid. So, good one there.

fishbulb 07-28-2006 10:56 PM
Ok moron. Thanks for misquoting me. The entire sentence was:

It's not an insult. She is really a lesbian.
Haha. I know. But you did go off a lot in the WFD thread about how playing on a pad isn't the same as drumming.

Cocaberry 07-28-2006 11:04 PM
Haha. I know. But you did go off a lot in the WFD thread about how playing on a pad isn't the same as drumming.
Well I was bored and felt like rattling some cages.

Electric Requiem 07-28-2006 11:27 PM

Pespi, I think it would be good for you if you had some initiative, but I really dont give a rats ***.

As for baseball its fun to play, but the most ****ing boring sport to watch.

Berk 07-28-2006 11:41 PM

I love bunting and watching all the actuall baseball players get pissed cause I bunt ALL the time..

Loyton 07-29-2006 01:24 AM

Damn I'm just poking around but it looks like this place is **** now. Oh well, still better than pearl drummers forum....

Corkofski 07-29-2006 01:26 AM

the fact i have to login now stops me from posting a helluva lot...

Cocaberry 07-29-2006 01:28 AM

I don't mind it. Firefox automatically fills in my username and pass so I just click the button without typing anything.

Corkofski 07-29-2006 01:32 AM

ffx wont for me :/

it does for everything except this...

Cocaberry 07-29-2006 01:40 AM

Go into firefox...

Tools>options>passwords>view saved passwords

and make sure that there is only one entry for sputnik in the "passwords saved" tab. Also make sure sputnik isn't under the "passwords never saved" tab. Should work.

Josiah 07-29-2006 02:08 AM

I love having a home gym.

fishbulb 07-29-2006 02:12 AM

I have a Weber gym at my house. It's got bench press, leg press, squats, pull down bar from above, and butterflies. I don't use it though.

Anatak 07-29-2006 02:57 AM

Psh screw the Yankees lol... Nah I'm kidding, they're a good team. I'm personally a Jays fan =P. They have my two favorite baseball players (Wells and Halladay).

Josiah 07-29-2006 03:04 AM

I wouldn't mind a multifunctional cable machine. I use all freeweight now. Except a bowflex for rowing.

Tang. 07-29-2006 08:25 AM
I wouldn't mind a multifunctional cable machine. I use all freeweight now. Except a bowflex for rowing.
Same here.

All free weights.
And I pretty much just use my bowflex for rowing.

Than I have all my boxing equipment.

Heavy bag, speed bag, etc.

I have a fancy treadmill but out of my two homes one is on the beach, and the other is out in the country.
So having a good run out there is alot more fun.

trysthedrummer 07-29-2006 10:54 AM

Wha! Antigone is a girl? Pespi?!?!

Janeway 07-29-2006 11:46 AM

I'm choosing to ignore Coca's argument, because I'm entirely sick of him, and I really don't feel like even bothering explaining that I don't feel the need to earn anything at this point.

I just slept 17 hours.
I stayed up all night yesterday, and went to bed at 7. I was expecting to get up at like 6, but I woke up at 12. =/

shablul 07-29-2006 12:01 PM

just wanted to know Antigone - why are you telling that? :S

Janeway 07-29-2006 12:02 PM

Because I was amazed that I slept twice the normal amount??

Tang. 07-29-2006 12:16 PM
just wanted to know Antigone - why are you telling that? :S
Because. Thats what you do in the strong hold.

Tell people cool random stuff.

For example, I tried mowing the grass, and it was like a trillion degrees..
Still did it anyway, but quickly, and I missed a whole buncha spots.

shablul 07-29-2006 12:16 PM

lol, that IS odd.
damn how could you sleep 17 hrs? :/

Tang. 07-29-2006 12:18 PM

Because she stayed up so late the night before.

Poor thing.

Pleaseme 07-29-2006 12:35 PM

Well my HHX splash will be delivered on Monday, so screw you all. Raaaaaaaa.

Listening to Pirates of the Carribean 2 soundtrack, and the vibrations from the bass are going very slightly through my peen. Wicked.

fishbulb 07-29-2006 02:05 PM

Wow.

Win A Rabbit 07-29-2006 02:35 PM

Hey y'all. I haven't posted in a while here.

I just want to say (I'm not trying to insult anyone), the way I was raised was to expect nothing from nobody, and to earn every penny for myself. I buy my own clothes, my own books, my own instruments, everything. I'm always the one who offers to pay for supper when I go out with friends, and I'm always putting in more than my share.

I've never had an allowance, and as I've grown, I've stopped doing Christmas and birthdays.

I love living like that, it's rewarding. If someone buys you a book, you might consider reading it. But if you go do some hard labor to make money for that book, you're going to read it for all it's worth.
I love living like that, it's rewarding. If someone buys you a book, you might consider reading it. But if you go do some hard labor to make money for that book, you're going to read it for all it's worth.
I'm gonna remember this.
really nice :)

Janeway 07-29-2006 04:04 PM

I don't know...
Only if it's one of the over priced books. I usually look around until I can find a $4 mass market paper back, or I'll wait until the library has the yearly sale and see if I can find it there. That's only if I want to have it. Usually I just get it from the library.
I'm not paying $14 for a book that's been around for 40 years just because it has a fancy new plush cover. And those covers suck to read with. I like to fold the pages over so I can read it at a more comfortable angle, but I feel like crap when the cover eventually falls off of one of those books.

I'm playing djembe. Or, I was. I forgot to detune it last night and the head stretched. Now I need a really hot, sunny, unhumid day to tighten it back up again.

Edit: I was only kidding when I said that. =/
I was exaggerating last night. I'm just a tad sick of being told to get a job when I'm barely out of highschool and in no financial need.

Edit 2: Well, I wasn't kidding about those covers. I hate them.

fishbulb 07-29-2006 04:10 PM

Everybody listen to the frank zappa album overnight sensation. So ****ing good and catchy.

Did my rubik's cube twice today.

Win A Rabbit 07-29-2006 04:38 PM

The book I just started reading cost me something like $32, with shipping. It's 600 pages though, and it's such a great book. I'm only 15 pages in, and I love it already.

Can anyone explain a Cajon for me?
How do they work?

Josiah 07-29-2006 04:54 PM

Normally by blackening food in addition to herb based spices, this is often done with open flame searing...

Sierra Nevada is a great beer.

Janeway 07-29-2006 04:55 PM

Is it a hard cover??

That's fricken' expensive.

Berk 07-29-2006 04:58 PM

Damnit. I mean the like box looking thing.
I think It's called a Cajon.

Janeway 07-29-2006 05:00 PM
Can anyone explain a Cajon for me?
How do they work?
It's essentially a hollow wooden box made out of multiple types of wood that the player sits on and hits in different places to create different sounds.

Scott Senior of the Duhks uses them as his primary percussion instrument.

Berk 07-29-2006 05:04 PM

And the Duhks, even thought Scott isn't really playing them extensively in these. They rule. =/

Janeway 07-29-2006 05:32 PM

Shouldn't have used it all in one place.
