Killing Time
Life of Agony

faith and fiction 04-30-2006 09:18 PM

Niko doesn't like Angry Samoans. What a homo.

Special Brew 04-30-2006 09:22 PM
I'm sorry though, less punk just means more of a chance to be s'hit.

Listen Coliseum.
Yeah, I know tons of the more punkish bands, so I'm looking for another sound to try out, plus, my friend is wanting me to give him some heavier bands like Hatebreed and Throwdown and junk. Coliseum are from my state.

EDIT: I always thought Life of Agony were a grungy metal band from the '90s.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-30-2006 09:41 PM

Blacklisted used to cover LOA.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-30-2006 09:44 PM

River Runs Red, wish I saw it.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-30-2006 09:51 PM

Sooo good. I wish they still covered that or did the floorpunch intro. Also I wished they still played demo songs.

fan of the game 04-30-2006 09:52 PM

might not be excactly what you want but check out Unbroken and Trial if you havent already

Feel The Darkness 04-30-2006 09:55 PM

Full Contact covers LOA - River Runs Red AND Metallica - Blackened.

Awesome band.

Special Brew 04-30-2006 09:55 PM

is "Unbroken and Trial" one band or is that two bands?

40 oz 2 freedom 04-30-2006 09:58 PM

I don't have pictures of my Blacklisted stuff, but it rules. I like that shirt.

Special Brew 04-30-2006 11:17 PM

Ok, so I just discovered how sick The Acacia Strain is. :D

Let's Chop Cats! 04-30-2006 11:33 PM

Ugh, go listen to those bands we posted.

Special Brew 04-30-2006 11:38 PM

I did. I really like Die Young, The Banner, and Killing Time.

Killing Time > all those other bands you guys posted, but that's probably because they've got more punk in them than the others. My pal will be more into the others.

Mine
Meh, I'm not too into shirts with print on the bottom. But the shirt itself is nice.

NewKindofArmy03 05-01-2006 02:24 PM

I wish I could've gotten one of their Rocky shirts.

I got this shirt the other day, it's awesome. http://images.oldglory.com/product/003239MTTSc.jpg
Ok, so I just discovered how sick The Acacia Strain is. :D
Um no they are terrible.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-01-2006 04:16 PM

I've got lots of Blacklisted stuff now.

2 Long sleeves
2 t-shirts
1 sleeveless
1 pair o' shorts

AIRIC 05-01-2006 05:32 PM

I don't get why hardcore bands sell shorts. Either Terror or Throwdown sell bootyshorts.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-01-2006 05:39 PM

Have Heart too. Champion had some I think too. A bunch of bands sell mesh shorts. I wouldn't mind a pair or two to wear during gym, summer or in the house. But I'd never spend my own money on them, rather wait till my mom says I need new gym shorts and that she'll pay for them.

40 oz 2 freedom 05-01-2006 05:44 PM

I want the Outbreak NA rip-off shorts.

Reiner change my Posi #s thread title to NO WINTER IN TEXAS FEST plz

Agreed.

unbroken and trial are two different bands, my bad if i confused you.

Special Brew 05-02-2006 09:22 AM

^^^ Alright, I'll check them out later today.

I just downloaded the new Ignite album. It's ten times better than I expected.

Saw ProTeam, Stallions and Bear Trap last night.
Stallions did a good Blacklisted cover.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-03-2006 01:16 PM

They...covered Blacklisted? Odd.

Got my Between the Wars EP, it rules.

Early July - Puerto Rico for a couple shows
Mid July - A handful of shows up to Winnipeg for Scott's last show with CBK
Late July - Sound & Fury Festival (28th - 30th)
Early/Mid August - A few shows with Gorilla Biscuits
Late August - This is Hardcore 2006 Festival in Philadelphia

We have started working on new material, and are excited to keep that ball rolling. We aren't sure of scheduling yet, but we will be in the studio by the end of the year to properly record this material for release. We are trying to up the ante a little bit. You can expect faster, harder, heavier, and a much more intense approach.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the shows on the "Season in Hell" tour. We have some extra tour shirts that we will put up for sale in the next couple of days, check back for more info. We had a blast and we were sad to send Rise & Fall home. If you didn't get it on the tour, pick up "Into Oblivion" on Deathwish, Inc. They will be back later this year, hopefully for a full US with yours truly. Guns Up! was absolutely amazing, be sure to pick "Outlive" from 1917 Records on May 23rd.

Last, but certainly not least, we are on the hunt for a second guitarist. You must have tour experience, your own reliable equipment, a very open schedule, a driver's license, and overall good taste in life. Bonus points to back-up vocals...
(NOTE: You must live reasonably close to Philadelphia.)

See you soon...
They promised a San Antonio date on their next US tour! LIES

chips88 05-03-2006 02:44 PM

Special Brew 05-03-2006 02:45 PM

Someone tell me which band is making all those "ohs hit" hoodies? I remember someone bringing it up awhile back.

At least it's during the summer, and is a rediculous show.

Special Brew 05-03-2006 03:10 PM

Alright, thanks. Could anyone tell me why I thought The Red Scare were from Knoxville? =\

JimbobTheSquirrel 05-03-2006 03:41 PM

So I've really gotten into Fugazi lately, can anyone point me in the direction of some similar bands?

Let's Chop Cats! 05-03-2006 04:30 PM

Embrace
Rites of Spring

Those are really more very early Fugazi though.
