Last night I was browsing through Traffic cds on Amazon, and most people complained about the quality for Welcome to the Canteen. Probably still really good though.
Compared to CD quality these days, it probably isn't as good. Probably 128 or so. Not 256. I might download a sample, and see for myself. It also has the original members :) |

For those who like them, what's everyone's favorite Beach Boys song(s)?
My favorite is Sloop John B. |
For those who like them, what's everyone's favorite Beach Boys song(s)?
My favorite is Sloop John B.
That's a great song. My favorite is probably God Only Knows. |
For those who like them, what's everyone's favorite Beach Boys song(s)?
My favorite is Sloop John B.
That is a very cool song, one of my favorites on Pet Sounds. I love the beginning on Good Vibrations, where it's quieter than the "Good vibrations" part. The vocals on the intro are awesome. EDIT: The vocals on God Only Knows are great too. |
god only knows
of course. haha. |
Hah, I know. That was a little joke in two ways. First because Mr. Fantasy doesn't sound like an acid trip and second because I like it, both of which seem to be reasons you wouldn't like it All joking though.
 Is my taste in music really that different from your's?
For those who like them, what's everyone's favorite Beach Boys song(s)?
"Wouldn't it be Nice" or "Good Vibrations" |
I agree what the hell took them so long to get Miles Davis, The Stooges and Black Sabbath up there!? Jeff Beck should get in. :(
NP: Jeff's Boogie (live) - Jeff Beck
Jeff Beck isn't in the Hall of Fame? Thats not even funny... Sabbath should definitly get in, as should Skinnard. I hope the Sex Pistols do, too. |
For those who like them, what's everyone's favorite Beach Boys song(s)?
My favorite is Sloop John B.
"This is the worst trip I've ever been on!" My favorite song also and theme song for a trip I spent with my mom in Seattle. |
Yeah. It's ridiculous that Jeff isn't in there.
Clapton probably is. |
"Wouldn't it be Nice" or "Good Vibrations"
I think Wouldn't it be nice is mine Thanks soo soo much for the Forever Changes and all of the effort, JonG Want anything? link |
Does anybody have With The Beatles? its the only one i need till i have all of the Beatles stduio albums
I doo So I'm trying to get involved with a local brass/percussion band that is in need of a trombone. I figured it couldn't hurt |
I was just in London, I got a "Meddle" shirt is pretty nice.
I also listened to "Rubber Factory" by the Black Keys, does anyone have it and want to send it to me? |
Does anybody have With The Beatles? its the only one i need till i have all of the Beatles stduio albums
I do. I could probably do it sometime this afternoon. It's not one of the Beatles bet, but still good. I don't think it's as good as Please Please Me or A Hard Day's Night, but it's very similar to those. Money is really awesome from that though. As long as we're on the topic of the topic of uploading, did anyone listen to Dylan Live '75 yet? Edit- Walrus beat me. If she doesn't do it, I'll do it. |
I could have swore I had Rubber Factory but I don't.
Hey Walrus could you do Eat a Peach http://rateyourmusic.com/user_albums/album_list_id_is_87336_and_list_type_is_owned |
Yeah. It's ridiculous that Jeff isn't in there.
Clapton probably is.
Yea, and everyone knows Jeff Beck > Eric Clapton. :( I don't know why Clapton is even considered that great of a guitarist. |
I like Clapton way more than Beck.
Oh yeah, I got a Cream shirt for my birthday too. But my birthday was in June. |
Yea, and everyone knows Jeff Beck > Eric Clapton. :(
I don't know why Clapton is even considered that great of a guitarist.
Meh, for me Cream > Jeff Beck, Claptons Solo Career < Jeff Beck. I don't really think Clapton's solo career is great, at all. He had what, two great songs? |
Walrus, is your wanted list updated? I have Junta, Lawn Boy, Quicksilver s/t, Wake of the Flood.
|
I like Clapton way more than Beck.
Even if you think his music is better you have to admitt as far as talent on the guitar goes: Jeff Beck > Eric Clapton.
|
Walrus, is your wanted list updated? I have Junta, Lawn Boy, Quicksilver s/t, Wake of the Flood.
I got QMS, but whichever of those Phish albums you think is best would be greatly appriciated :D I think I will lay off the new GD albums for a while, I still haven't gotten sick of Terrapin Station or Anthem of the Sun yet |
I finally got "Blow By Blow", have yet to listen to it. I already have "Wired" and "Truth"
|
I got QMS, but whichever of those Phish albums you think is best would be greatly appriciated :D
I think I will lay off the new GD albums for a while, I still haven't gotten sick of Terrapin Station or Anthem of the Sun yet I'll do Eat a Peach, and could you do With The Beatles, Robo?
I got Jac covered on "Eat a Peach" I'll get those Phish albums up. |
Oh scratch that Walrus, JonG's got it and I'm just getting it from him.
Edit: Beaten by JonG. |
Yeah. It's ridiculous that Jeff isn't in there.
Clapton probably is.
3 times. Yardbirds, Cream, and Solo. /goes away and lurks |
Even if you think his music is better you have to admitt as far as talent on the guitar goes: Jeff Beck > Eric Clapton.
I guess but there are better guitarists than Jeff Beck. Talent isn't what I'm exactly looking for.
I have Welcome to the Canteen. |
Ok, I'll do with the Beatles then, and then I am going grocery shopping
|
I guess but there are better guitarists than Jeff Beck. Talent isn't what I'm exactly looking for.
I have Welcome to the Canteen.
Is it good? |
Yes.
Hey Walrus I have all 3 of those Neil Young Albums, do you want any of 'em? |
3 times.
Yardbirds, Cream, and Solo. /goes away and lurks
Yardbirds are in it? I'm kind of surprised Derek and the Dominoes aren't. Jeff Beck owns almost any guitarist talent wise, but I still maintain that Clapton in Cream is better. Then again, he did have Ginger Backer and Jack Bruce with him, so its not entirely his achievement. |
Yes.
Hey Walrus I have all 3 of those Neil Young Albums, do you want any of 'em?
Sure, if you have any of them in .wma or .mp3 I would be delighted What a YSI frenzy I'll be going now, be back in an hour or so |
claptons playing is a lot smoother. hes definitely my second favorite guitarist. and hes no slouch when it comes to technical talent.
|
I just converted "On the Beach" to mp3. It'll be sent out soon.
I'll do "Zuma" and "Tonight's the Night" aswell. Although you didn't request "Tonights the Night" I'll add it because its cool. |
I guess but there are better guitarists than Jeff Beck. Talent isn't what I'm exactly looking for.
I would go as far as to say Jeff Beck was one of the most visionary and innovative guitarist to ever play a guitar not to mention his lightning fast technical ability. If you add it all up you could very well argue that he is the most talented guitarist to ever play.
I also don't see what's the big deal with all Clapton's projects either. Derek and the Dominoes, Yardbirds, Cream, and Solo meh.....I could do without it all. Although I do highly respect his songwritting skill. |

"On the Beach" is sent.
|
Hey guys, just a few requests:
Jefferson Starship - Ride the Tiger Steppenwolf - The Pusher And, if at all possible, Grateful Dead's American Beauty album. I will try and share any albums that I have, as well. I don't have a list, but request something and I will see if I can help you out. |
Thanks :thumb: I've been looking for this one.
