Giraffes?Giraffes! - More Skin With Milk-Mouth
finally found this. its pretty awesome. |
Protest the Hero - Fortress
Early Elvis Costello |
Teenage Cool Kids - Queer Salutations
very pavement/weezer like, just more aggressive. |
Polvo is like that too (also with more Sonic Youth-like guitar dissonance)
I just clicked back and forth between Meat Puppets' "Plateau" and Sonic Youth's "Death Valley '69" because they both start with drumstick clacks. and they were adjacent to each other in my shuffle. im dumb. |
der's nothing on top
but a bucket and a mop! |
Cruci****s - Wisconsin
|
Rites of Spring - End On End
|
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
1st time listening. So far it's really good.
Better than self-titled? If you've heard that. |
yes its better than self titled
|
No it's not.
|
No it's not.
I'll second that. SPIKES TO YOU! |
Their self titled and Yank Crime are both excellent, but Yank Crime pulls ahead because of the better production and "Sinews".
Unwound- Leaves Turn Inside You |
i think my favorite on self titled is If It Kills You
|
Cursed - III
Pyramids - Through the Hourglass |
is that pyramids album as generic as the first
|
I was about to say that.
|
i didn't really dig on the first one. this one seems a lot better.
|
So I picked up the album Broom by the band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Really the name just caught my eye, but I figured it would be stupid because a lot of alt/indie is. But there really isn't a crappy track on the album. Nothing groundbreaking, but I kinda like it.
|
yeah most alt/indie does suck man.
I've been liking some evangelicals. |
antelope - reflector
food for animals - belly - this is some of the best glitch hop i've heard |
Arcade Fire- Funeral
man, I know im like 3 years late with this one, but this album is incredible |
whatever, i mean i havent ever heard the whole thing myself
i like what ive heard just havent gotten the rest |
Arcade Fire- Funeral
man, I know im like 3 years late with this one, but this album is incredible
I got burnt out on it after thinking it was ****ing brilliant for about a month and never really got back into them. Neon Bible was alright, but not much more than that. I do have a huge soft spot for No Cars Go, however. |
neon bible is sweet, i like black wave, neon bible, intervention, keep the car running alot but overall funeral is way better
|
The Decemberists
|
Earth - The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull
|
The Beatles - Revolver - Haven't listened to much music since I went back to my girlfriend's cos I don't have a pc with any of my stuff on and my Ipod is playing up. I'm back at my mum's place for my birthday though so I'll be going through my music library on my pc over the next few days no doubt.
|
I'm into Silver Mount Zion's new album right now.
Coming down off a hard Velvet Underground kick as well. |
Idaho - Three Sheets To The Wind
Also been listening to this album from a bunch of Daoist monks, typical relaxing slow tempo chinese music. Very good to relax to. I've been a bit of a mess today because it was two years ago today since my dad passed away but this has relaxed me alot. |
Lichens- The Psychic Nature of Being
I understand this a lot more now that I've seen him live. |
