I'll need to check it out? |
"Which came first, the music, or the misery?"
I love that movie, does anyone know if is the book any good? NP:Grateful Dead- Black Peter
I'm reading the book, it's good. It takes place in England, though. And yeah, Johnny Cash rules. I like a lot of older country, like him, Willie Nelson, etc., etc. np: The Rolling Stones - Waiting On A Friend. I really like this song lately. |
Everyone download those songs, you'll be better people because of it.
Np: Midnight Moonlight  |
You're a hell of a guy Badmoon, thanks for the songs. I'm listening to Corona right now, great song.
And just to take it one step further, I'll post a couple songs I just listened to...bluegrass songs. These are mainly by my favourite bluegrass musicians. Tony Rice and Seldom Scene - Red Haired Boy http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CNXVFL9Y22RK2LN9BYM2E8ZTC Doc Watson, Del McCoury and Mac Wiseman - Black Mountain Rag http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0PQNZNR7ITXE408AOE2C6XIY1X (these are fairly well known bluegrass songs, so sorry if they've been posted before) |
I've heard Doc do a couple of different versions of Black Mountain Rag, but haven't heard this one. Nicely done, and I like the appearance of Del McCoury.
I don't have time to listen to the Tony Rice one. I'll listen to it tommorow. And remember, "Corona" is a Minutemen cover. |

hardcore punkish, but not the kind you would think. theyre quite good. ive been trying to whore them a bit. their bassist is a legend and dboons no slouch on the guitar. george hurley was a badass on drums. ask badmoon or i on aim for albums. |
So...thoughts on the Eagles touring again, anyone?
|
My sister saw them live, and said they were good. I'm not much of a fan, myself.

I saw them in April at Nassau Collesium. They were incredible! I never really liked Desparado until I heard them close with it- it was magical. They also did songs from Don Henley's solo career and Walsh's time with The James Gang. That was really cool. |

Yeah, like Freud said, their officially Punk, but that isn't always correct. On their early work, they are no doubt a Punk band. Though they still hadn't used distortion, or had been anything like othe Punk bands. And on their later work (Their best work), the Punk is really only alive through the attitude and the lyrics, I guess. During that time, they were fooling around with many different genre, like Folk, Country, Metal, Polka ("Corona"), etc. You really like the album? I'd definitely rate it among my top five. Maybe top three. It's a perfect album if you ask me; every song is perfect and catchy as hell, even the instrumental (Praskovia). If you go back a few pages, you can find their best album I posted, Double Nickels On the Dime.
My sister saw them live, and said they were good. I'm not much of a fan, myself.
Yeah, well....Live Tyler's ugly! *runs* |
Are you out of school already, Badmoon?
My neighbor let me borrow these last night: ABB- Eat A Peach ABB- A Decade of Hits Traveling Wilburys- Vol. 1 Willie Nelson- 16 Biggest Hits Neil Young- Harvest I am listening to "A Man Needs A Maid" off of harvest now, it reminds me alot of The Moody Blues' "Days Of Future Past" sound |
Eat A Peach and the Wilburies are awesome. I don't have any of the others though I've heard Harvest before and it's pretty good.
|
Yeah, well....Liv Tyler's ugly!

That's sad. Though they weren't coming to Chicago.
I'm sorry :( |
I think Liv Tyler is good looking.
I'd love to see the Eagles live. Last night on TV there was a Fleetwood Mac concert, and then it showed the making of their Rumours album, it was pretty cool. |
That's sad. Though they weren't coming to Chicago.
I'm sorry :(
Yea, it's sad, but at least my dad will get his money back. And thanks for your condolences :( |
Yea, that sucks man.
|
That's JPJ's Woodstock down the drain. As long as my Allman Brothers show is still going, I'm happy.
|
With my luck Gregg Allman will die in a motorcycle crash and Steve Miller will get prostate cancer.
|
If something happened to the Allmans, everyone here would be depressed. We're all going to see them this summer.
