I really dug the book, though if you like books with very little dialogue, then you might get bored, because most of the time there is hardly any talking. But just Joe's thoughts. It's really similar to the song, except in the book, he's injured by a shell dropping in his fox-hole, and not by a landmine.

Cool. I'll try and find it somewhere.

Maybe in the movie, they changed it so it was a landmine, as the movie business always changes aspects of the story when making a movie based on a book.

Yep twenty years...that's hard to believe. I'm only 16 but it still seems like a long time. I've been seeing that album for my whole life. It's not my favorite

I can't say I really have a fave 'Tallica album. They all stand out for one reason or another.

for me MOP stands out, so its a significant year. tho im also only 16, i always loved that album.

I've seriously got to get around to listening to Metallica again. The Mailing lists around here send me too much music to keep up with.
