Got my third gig tomorrow in what is actually quite a big place. Was excited, until band practice today. Snapped my E string at the nut - it was unwound entirely, including the core. Man, I'm not happy. Thing is, I only want to replace the one string, but the local stores don't carry very good single strings. Sucks to be me. Plus, its gonna sound very bright. I usually wouldn't change strings unless I had at least a week before the gig. None of the other strings will be bright at all. They're fairly dead, and I'm too broke to replace them all. Shouldn't be too bad eh?
