Flaminghotchino 09-17-2005 02:09 PM
That's the problem. I've heard the stage at MSG is like a huge wall in the back, so if you get tickets behind the stage, you won't be able to see the band at all. I'm waiting until 9 O'clock Monday, when I hope seats in front of the stage will be avaliable. I think I have pretty good chances of getting tickets though, and the traveling won't be a problem, 45 minute train ride then taxi or Subway, and I'm there. I can't wait until Monday. I need to see Cream.

Happy brithday Flaminghotchino. Is the shirt your sister got you at Hot Topic black with a small picture of them on the front? If so, I've seen it at Hot Topic, but they didn't have it in my size. If I'm able to see Cream live, I'm definitely picking up a shirt there.
Thanks, and yeah that is the cream shirt I got..I'm actually gonna be wearing it today.

Hope you get a chance to see them, that'd kickass

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 04:19 PM

Aw crap, my friend bailed on the Cream tix. He decided to spend $250 on em, and thats just too much for me.

I may go up to $125, but thats very iffy, and only if i get a seat i can actually see the stage.

Has anybody been the Madison Square Garden arena before? I really need to find out how its set-up, so far i just know it's enormous.

The seats at the very very top look like a joke, but behind the stage will probably be a wall of amplafiers and wires. I may just go to be there though...If i can find somewere to hit in front of the stage till i get moved...i really have no clue what im gonna do at this point.

I also may go up to 125, but that's pretty unlikely. I'm just going to try for the best $64.50 I can get. I've been to MSG for Knick and Ranger games but never for a concert. It's not as big as a football stadium though. The seats at the top are high up though. That's what I buy whenever I want to go see the Knicks fuck up a game.

Edit- MSG holds around 20,000-22,000. Giants stadium would probably hold 80,000 by comparison. At least that's as much as they hold for sporting events.

Tough luck, man. :(

I thought it was cool of my friends mom to try and get me Stones tickets. She's so nice.

I wanted to buy Live at Leeds at Borders today, but I could only find the 1 disc one, and it didn't have the whole of Tommy.

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 04:58 PM

Ill find some way. I got my stones tix off ebay for a great deal, maybe itll happen again (and may I mention that state laws prohibits exceeding profits for ticket sellers, so ebay can get you decent ticket prices). I figured I spent $110 on stones tix, and i like cream 10x more, so Ill just see what happens. Ill only go $125 if the tix are a huge improvement from any around $65. It isnt looking to good though...

I had a hard time finding Live @ Leeds Deluxe Edition too MBS. I just decided to burn Live @ Leeds one from somebody and get the other half online. Unfortunantly, I lost the second half of the CD after restoring the computer. I believe Lunch has it, maybe he'll upload it. I'd assume youd want to buy it though. Its a great CD(s).

ElectricSeizure 09-17-2005 05:02 PM

As much as I'm a fan of classic rock....I'm positive that quite a lot of death metal is a little more techically advanced than a lot of classic rock bands...such as Def Leppard for example.

Do you listen to any other classic rock bands besides 80's bands? Just wondering.

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 05:21 PM

Another n00b kills the conversation :(

But as soon as you learn to speak; Welcome aboard :thumb:

I would get it from Lunch's emails, but my internet does not allow me without a download time of over a day. I hate DSL. :(

Once I get cable, I'm going to go on the biggest downloading spree ever.

Edit:
def leppard? is he serious? guys?
Hey guys, what has 4 heads, 8 legs, and 7 arms? DEF LEPPARD!

I am still looking for a Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, KISS, Bob Segar, or Grand Funk Railroad cd. I doubt any of you like 3 of those bands but if anybody has any of these could you email it to me?

I don't have any of the first 3 but I'm sure somebody does. I could do GFR On Time if you want though. I'm trying to get Dylan Live '75 done now, but it keeps failing.

If you could get GFR done that would be great. Some Dylan would be cool too. Thx.

Glitterati 09-17-2005 06:42 PM

I've never been a real Def Leppard fan :-/

Walrus Gumboot 09-17-2005 06:49 PM

blue3 09-17-2005 06:50 PM

49 fingers??

magicbus 09-17-2005 06:53 PM

Grateful Dead, but I bet they could pass for 49 and a half fingers.

And Dylan Live '75 has spectalularly failed again. I hate YSI. It never works for me. I'm still trying to upload the Dylan '75. It actually worked once, but I lost the link

Jacaranda 09-17-2005 06:57 PM
Get iTunes. I think that can covert to mp3

If not get dbPowerAMP. Google it.

Walrus Gumboot 09-17-2005 07:00 PM
Grateful Dead, but I bet they could pass for 49 and a half fingers.
Yeap

It really shouldn't be limited to 5, though, I was just going by the Krutzman-Lesh-Garcia-Weir-Pigpen crew

Jacaranda 09-17-2005 07:03 PM

Megaupload takes so long to download stuff from, Rapidshare is annyoing cause you gotta wait an hour between downloads.

I always found it funny people remember what days artists died, e.g. John Lennon every December 8th they have something in his honor. They should honor his birth not his death.

But in honor of Jimis' death I shall have a Hendrix avatar!

Seafroggys 09-17-2005 07:04 PM

More like 101 and a half fingers, with all the members they've had.

Should I post my senior paper on progressive rock, concept albums, and rock operas? Something anybody here might use as sources for papers of their own?

magicbus 09-17-2005 07:05 PM
Yeap

Yea I wasn't really sure because that'd only be 5 members, but I remembered Jerry's missing finger.

Did anybody get Paul McCartney's new album? Or Robert Plant's recently released one? I was interested in both, but I never heard them.

Jacaranda 09-17-2005 07:07 PM
I heard that it (Pauls') was really good, apparently the producer (name I forgot) pushed Paul alot and they ended up getting in fights constantly.

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 07:08 PM

My friend got Paul Mccartney on reserve...Im gonna burn it off him. It's sopposed to be really good though. I cant wait to hear it.

I had Rolling Stones new CD in my hand today at Walmart, but didnt buy it. If Id known i was gonna get over $300 from old paychecks i never cashed latter that day, i wouldve :(

PinkFreud 09-17-2005 07:21 PM

i have the mighty rearranger. havent listened to it yet, though.

Distant Echoes 09-17-2005 07:24 PM

Hey Freud, how dare you steal my Beck Fanboy club idea and not let me know that you put it into effect!

I only have one Plant CD. It was decent, but dispite that i havent listened to it twice. Again with the solo albums...never tend to like em.

EDIT: actually Freud, that may have been Schyma or Walrus now that i think about it...Still, there should be fanclub.

robo2448 09-17-2005 07:25 PM

Bob Dylan Live '75 finally worked :D

Everyone check their inbox and download it. Great live album.

We need to have a better method of sharing music now that the links are gone. Posting our Emails every time somethigns available is a bit of a hassle...especially when theres more then one thing for download at a time. tends to be confusing.
