There are plenty of dating sites (even pay ones) that are well known for manipulating these statistics to make it look like your profile is getting more views than it actually is. On top of this admins use sites like microworkers which people like Alex use paying anonymous internet people 30c a pop to create fake profiles and all the paypal camwhores on their baiting men along; it's kind of a depressing mess.
