Wohoo! I'm going to pick up my new 20" Paiste Reflector Dry Ride today!
sweet. that is a nice ride.

poppinfresh 08-21-2005 01:45 PM

at the paiste cymbal expo, i tried an 18 in full crash next to an 18 in reflector, they sounded EXACTLY the same.

there really isnt any difference between the regular and reflectors. i did the same thing with a 20" dimensions deep full ride. i think there might be a tad more ping on the reflector, but not enough to be noticable when your playing.

Josiah 08-21-2005 01:49 PM

I thought they reflected the sound... *shrug*

"punk rock changed our lives.."

PowerStamp 08-21-2005 03:55 PM

These overnights are a bitch, I can't wait for them to be done, I'm all kinds of messed up.
Blah.

stabbinspaghetti 08-21-2005 04:03 PM

juliette and the licks-i never got to tell you what i wanted to

Fuzzy 08-21-2005 04:20 PM

I just drummed the entire "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" (My Chemical Romance) album. Man that stuff is fun, though it takes some stamina. I had no trouble with it, which is good because my band may play a song or two of MCR's live. Then it was Muse's Stockholm Syndrome, Foo Fighter's Everlong, and Bush's Glycerine.

The Fiction We Live 08-21-2005 04:38 PM

I'm not a fan of MCR.....

Fuzzy 08-21-2005 04:56 PM

And I can't stand rap. To each his own! :thumb:

Half Life 08-21-2005 05:03 PM

Rap sucks, I'm with Fuzzy

The Fiction We Live 08-21-2005 05:08 PM

I hate rape too... did I ever say that I liked it?

CombatWombat3 08-21-2005 05:12 PM

^^^Do you mean rape or rap?

Anyway, I'm eating string cheese. Anyone else like string cheese?

TheClash6412 08-21-2005 05:16 PM

i like a band called the string cheese incident

spike9908 08-21-2005 05:47 PM

that probably has to be one of the worst band names ive heard since "the suburban sound" but now that ive heard them and realized how amazing they are, its a good name. (check "my homepage" to hear some of their stuff)

Win A Rabbit 08-21-2005 05:57 PM

well i mowed grass for 8 hours today. my boss came in drunk as hell (he's actually a recovering alcoholic, but he drinks every day anyways) and he followed me around for about 45 minutes, watching me mow. then i went over to him and asked him what he was doing, he mumbled through some words, then said "so i heard you were leaving us..." in an angry voice. i told him my reasons, and he started getting angrier. i swear he was almost going to try to fight me  so i told him to go home, and that he was no use here, blah blah blah, he got angrier and stormed off.

what a way to leave a job, hey?

well it wasn't all bad, i had a big talk with one of the marshalls there, who i've been "friends" with for about a year, but we never really talked for more than 5 minutes before. we talked for about an hour on my lunch break about everything possible, it was probably the best conversation i've ever had.

so yea, i'm 99% done with that job, they're on their own from here on in. it's gonna be brutal next year, i guarantee they ask me back. and that's not even my ego talking, that's common sense.

Ethan. 08-21-2005 06:05 PM

I mowed for about 1 hour and threw up and almost passed out today. It sucked the guys grass was so thick. I could hardly push his mower. I wish I had that kind you ride on. My dad won't let me use his. What's worse is I didn't get paid because I didn't finish the whole yard. It's huge.

poppinfresh 08-21-2005 06:05 PM

why didnt you raise the wheels.

spike9908 08-21-2005 06:09 PM

man, thats gay. im lucky we have a riding mower, our yard is pretty big. even with the riding mower it takes like half an hour to do.

Ethan. 08-21-2005 06:12 PM

I don't think the wheels could be changed on that because its an old one. I didn't even know I could raise the wheels though.

poppinfresh 08-21-2005 06:16 PM

oh.

styler 08-21-2005 06:22 PM

help?

anybody name a few good indie bands?

Ethan. 08-21-2005 06:33 PM

Ha ha I'm watching family guy right now. it's on fox.

Juicy_Forlorn 08-21-2005 06:48 PM
man, thats gay. im lucky we have a riding mower, our yard is pretty big. even with the riding mower it takes like half an hour to do.
I have a riding mower and it takes about 3 hours to mow everything. I have a very large lawn, and I mow my grandma's lawn too. Thank God I don't have to do all that with just a push mower...

Jomofo 08-21-2005 06:52 PM
anybody name a few good indie bands?
The Decemberists are pretty good.

spike9908 08-21-2005 07:23 PM
ahhhhh I always forget about it now that it's back on! **** it...
i dont think it was a new one though, so ill get my family guy fill later tonight (actuically in about an hour)

i have a job interview in the morning. when they called, the guy was sort of acting like i practically had the job already so hopefully that is a good sign.

Juicy_Forlorn 08-21-2005 08:04 PM

What's the job?

-TheGlassPrison- 08-21-2005 08:29 PM

I think hes saying he called himself and has an interview tommorow morning with himself about selling his body...

Yum!

stabbinspaghetti 08-21-2005 08:34 PM

there are a ton of indie bands, but indie just refers to independent....so you need to specify what genre etc....i dunno who told you indie was but its very very broad
