Yeah, that's the album I have and it's pretty chill. I was listening to Evpatoria Report today, they are seriously becoming one of my favorite Post Rock bands ever, Golevka is perfect.
|
evpatoria report is definitely a great band. they manage to stick out from the crowd. their older, self titled release is probably my favorite thing theyve done, tho maar is quite good too. the second half of the song naptalan is pure excellence, the organ is ace.
|
I haven't heard the self titled, I only have Maar and Golevka. Will look for the st right now.
Do you like Upcdowncleftcrightcabc+start? I think they also stick out from the crowd. |
you know ive actually got an album of theirs on my comp but have never listened to it. theyre good im assuming? iirc theyre kinda like 65daysofstatic right? idk, i could be wrong my memory isnt the best.
the evpatoria report st is only 2 songs, but theyre just perfectly made. the full lengths have alot more to them, but i think the 2 tracks on the st are the strongest theyve ever done. |
Yeah, I found out its an EP.
And yeah, they kinda sound like 65daysofstatic so that's really good, but they are less electronic and a little more dynamic. |
ive got and the battle was won. is that one of their better releases?
|
Nah, it's pretty good but get Embers, it's their newest release and its basically atbiw but with a more mature sound, idk how the **** to explain it but get embers too.
They are both worth hearing. |
cool ill listen to a track or 2 from battle and if i like ill get embers

the right to arm bears
hey
you should give this band a listen, and let me know what u think mind you the material is only fair quality being a demo and all but still id like to hear your positive and negative thoughts "The quartet uses sprawling arrangements, often beginning with a cerebral and ominous beginning before pushing into ambitious and elaborate jams. Sure it may be a little dramatic at times, but the hypnotic and visceral movements are too hard to turn away from. Check out the climactic ending of "It's a God Damn Wonder We Made It Through Mountains," as proof of this band's firepower and inherent talent. yeah but thats not really where they got the name, it was a robin williams joke from a stand up he did, and was pretty much just blirted out at a last moment for getting the name |
i thought it was a really old sci fi book
|
been digging esmerine, halves, and divination lately

Much as I hate to admit my Icelandic gods may be getting dethroned, Toe is possibly becoming my favorite post-rock.
|
Toe are great, The Book About My Idol Plot On A Vague Anxiety is awesome

Recently got some This Will Destroy You. Good stuff!
|
Going to see them this Thursday with ASIWYFA supporting them. I hope it was the other way around tho :(
|
That would be a pretty sweet show to go see. I have never been to a post rock show. I'm going to see Russian Circles in December, so I'm pretty excited about that.
|
It's my first post-rock show too. Going to be my gig of the year (might change my opinion after the Propagandhi show). Russian Circles are great, post-metal tho. post-post
|
I would agree that they are post metal
That sweet though they are playing with ASIWYFA. I definitely dug their last album. Russian Circles are playing with some post hardcore band, Young Windows, never really heard of them, so don't know what to expect with them |
young widows is better than russian circles
that show will be ****ing awesome |
cool ****, i'll check them out then, got a little more excited for the show now
|
Might check them out as well.
|
Which Sigur Ros album would you guys recommend to someone new to the band?
