Yesterday, I got rid of my DW 4002's and bought a Big Dog Pro double. Its awesome.
Did your playing improve from the change?

Jezen 08-12-2005 06:09 AM

Ffs Josiah please stop being so ignorant. I KNOW that your playing doesn't change with the equipment. I have said that numerous times now.
I find the pedal alot more comfortable.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 09:19 AM

hah i like those pedals, atleast the way they look, stupid usa not having them anywhere

well back to that custom drum company i was talking about

"Hi Sarah The stack sets are $1450.00 The regular sets are $1400.00. Theprices for these sets are for a 18" bass the set and a 16" bass drum set. Joe Modern Drum Shop""

so i would imagine you prolly get like a 12'' tom and a 14'' tom, but those prices arent that bad, i may get a stack set one day

Win A Rabbit 08-12-2005 11:12 AM

well my ride to work is late, like i knew she'd be. oh well. todays gonna be a fairly short work day. 12-5. right now i'm working on a song, trying to use every time sig i can, but more importantly, make it flow and sound good. that's the tough part. well im gonna go play drums for 10 minutes before she gets here. bye everyone.

Futuro 08-12-2005 11:17 AM
Yea, I'm usin windex.. maybe I need different paper towls or it just doesn't like me.
dont use paper towels, use news paper then dry with a rubber based cloth (shammy etc.)

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 11:45 AM

hmm newspapers??? i would think they would be to harsh to glass, with the recycledness of them, they have dirt on them alot of times aswell, which can lead to scratching..i would say get some of those blue hardware papertowels, and a shammy, and some good glass cleaner

Josiah 08-12-2005 12:16 PM

^ ah.. interesting that sounds like the way to go.

I'm not keen on that newspaper idea, it leaves ink on my hands.. rub it on the windshield?

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 04:54 PM

hah, where did everyone go?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? ok i over exaggerated, so what?

Josiah 08-12-2005 05:54 PM

Well I weant to the DO to drop off some paper work, and had to go to the Dr's for a TB test.

Just now 4 or 5 big Heuy's or Blackhawks flew over nice and low, friggin loud as heck. The soilders waved at me though, so that's chill.

The joys of living around military bases.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 06:09 PM

Riding The Short Bus 08-12-2005 06:55 PM

Pretty much anything cept country and rap, even though I like country. I am 17, and am currently starting a band called "Riding the short bus". I have wirtten nine songs so far, just lyrics, when the guitar player gets back we are gonna work on music.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 06:59 PM

hah you are lucky, im still looking for a band, i may have one though

rockindrummer 08-12-2005 07:34 PM

^ It would be awsome if you got it together. Bands are a great experience and they are also really fun.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 07:50 PM

yeah, i mean ive never played with any other musicians, so not only would it be a great learning experience, it would help me improv and such

Win A Rabbit 08-12-2005 08:11 PM

i've been in a band since the day i picked up an instrument. the reason i started playing music was to start a band with some friends.

well today i went to the golf course to work, and my grampa was there. he convinced me to go golfing with him (didn't take much, i really didn't want to work today) and then he even convinced my dad to pay me for a few hours because it was him who got me to golf, etc. i used some rental clubs that actually cost $5 each, brand new (which by the way were way too short for me) and some used golf balls, and i took on my brother for $5. he has about $3000 worth of golf clubs, golfs 4+ times a week, and uses $6 golf balls. i told him to give me 18 shots, and i completely killed him. after abour 4 holes i was in his head, and it was easy as pie through the rest. surprisingly i played good for not having picked up a club in almost 2 years. i didn't take his money though, as he doesn't work, and i'd feel bad taking money from my younger brother.

oh, and my cousin's friend was hitting on me infront of my cousin and aunt. needless to say, it was quite awkward. she was 6'4, which was oddly intimidating.

anyways, that's my day so far. i'm gonna go call some friends, probably go out for a while.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 08:28 PM

you are a party animal, everynight almost

Double Bass Jim 08-12-2005 09:01 PM
