I just listen to Prowler In The Yard for the first time the other day. Now thats what i call grind! Kinda wish they had a bass on the recording though...

Creepy lyrics!

Times Ten 06-10-2006 10:50 PM

Prowler in The Yard is one of the weaker Pig Destroyer albums in my opinion. And yes, the lyrics are creepy, but you can't deny that they are extremely well written.

CRONITOR 06-10-2006 11:04 PM

I've always loved pig destroyers lyrics, especially gravedancer.

Subvert_bassist 06-11-2006 12:05 AM

I just found out that we're playing with Verbal Abuse and Annihilation Time. ****ing killer.

I love the lyrics so much. The earlier songs when the band was more politically motivated were ****ing dark and paranoid, but very effective. J.R. can write.

Werny 06-11-2006 09:55 AM
Pig Destroyer is definately grind because grind my friend is punk played at hyperspeed, powerviolence is essentially the same idea just much more ****ing punk. Bad definitions but Pig Destroyer is grind.

And lucky bastard that you saw Fuck... I'm Dead. Did they play Shotgun Facelift?
Ah ok, they just sound extremely different from all other grind I've heard.

I remember them playing Inject Me With AIDS, Retired21, and they also played Shotgun Facelift. Being right infront of the singer whilst he belched out those awesome, rhythmic growls was amazing. When we were waiting in line he kept walking past us, shame we didn't know it was him. I was a bit disappointed that the guitarist and bassist just stood there, not even bopping their heads.

What are some of the better albums I should check out?

WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCCCKKK!

YOU LUCKY BASTARD!

Holy shit, srsly, that's so fucking awesome! Verbal Abuse are so awesome live. When I saw 'em with Poison Idea, they stole the whole show. It was insane. I haven't gotten to see Annihilation Time live, but they're an awesome band, so I'd imagine that they put on a damn good show.

My favorites are 38 Counts of Battery, and actually, their most recent Terrifyer. I just think that the music is written much better and the songs flow together more.

Yeah dude. I feel so lucky: in the next three weeks, I'm playing with Resistant Culture, Iskra, Destroyer Destroyer, Me And Him Call It Us, Verbal Abuse, Annihilation Time, Circle One, and Dr. Know.

whiteminority 06-11-2006 12:07 PM

Fucking lucky man.

WAIT! WHAT!? You're playing with Dr. Know!? How the fuck do you keep managing to play with all these bands...oh wait, you're from Cali. Nevermind.

Seriously, that's so awesome, dude.

Yo, I'm sure I've told you to check it out before, but I've changed some stuff, and added a forum, so check out my blog.

I envy you. :(

CRONITOR 06-11-2006 11:35 PM

So I've been finding myself listening to Graf Orlock a lot recently, do any of you guys like them?

RetiredAt21 06-11-2006 11:44 PM

They're ok.

whiteminority 06-12-2006 11:26 AM

They're meh. I've been digging Me and Him Call It Us lately.

CRONITOR 06-12-2006 01:14 PM

ah I see, I just wanted to see what you all thought of them.

whiteminority 06-12-2006 10:21 PM
me and him call it us are pretty cool.
Indeed.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 02:15 PM

See You Next Tuesday is owning me as of right now.

Times Ten 06-13-2006 02:28 PM

Eh. I would rather listen to The Sawtooth Grin than SYNT (no, I am not going to abbreviate it how you are supposed to.)

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 03:45 PM

See You Next Tuesday is WAAAAAAY better.

Times Ten 06-13-2006 03:54 PM

They really aren't but whatever. Neither of them are grind anyways.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 03:59 PM

They're both good though.

I really love the slow br00tal breakdowns in See You Next Tuesday songs.

Subvert_bassist 06-13-2006 09:27 PM

Yes, I did forget Warfair?, Evan. Tomorrow. Yessssssssss.

Oh, and I just found out that we're not only playing the fest with Verbal Abuse and Annihilation Time, but the line-up is this:

VERBAL ABUSE
ANNIHILATION TIME
DOVES LIE DEAD
ESCAPEMENT
QUIT STALIN
SHENANIGOATS
VACANT CHURCHES
THE RUNNS
COLOSSUS

Dude, we're playing just before those two? That's nuts, and I'm going insane from excitement.

P.S: We're touring towards the East next summer, guys. Give us some towns and venues out there to play, and we'll see about hitting them up. The only place I personally remember that we're going is Texas. We're going with a buddy band, Children's Crusade (awesome PV, hit up Myspace for their ****), for awhile, and when they head north for Canada and such, we're staying in the more southern area of the US and doing a little solo touring.

NewKindofArmy03 06-13-2006 09:31 PM

Come to Philly, i'll get you guys a show with my band.

AIRIC 06-13-2006 10:34 PM

If you guys come to upstate NY I'll be there. I know there's a few bands that would play with you guys and I could talk to a friend about booking a show for you guys.

Feel The Darkness 06-13-2006 11:23 PM

Andy, lemme know when y'all are gonna be in TX and I'll get y'all a show in Laredo. We'll party it up on the border.
