2,000th post!

Brain Toad 06-11-2005 08:55 PM

It was a crappy title for being open, since it's not a myth when its still being posted in.

metty16 06-11-2005 09:05 PM

It was cool though
In 4th grade, when we first started being assigned books to read, I didn't read a single one. The first one we had to read was sarah plain and tall and I thought that it was the most boring title, so I didn't read it.

I enjoy reading, now. It's not that hard to do, I don't understand why people don't just read for school. I plan on reading a lot over this summer too. I'll read more then I post on MX.
Yeah, judge it by its first sentence.

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 06:19 AM

:(

The last book I read was The Eden Express by Mark Vonnegut. If you know the writer Kurt Vonnegut (he's my favorite writer) it's his son's autobiography. He became a hippie and lived on his own hippie farm, did a bunch of drugs, and then became schizophrenic. It was a really good book.

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 09:03 AM

Kurt Vonnegut is awesome. I just re-read Mother Night the other day. That's one of my favourites of his.

SpecialBoy 06-12-2005 09:04 AM

I just read Bluebeard. It's as good as Breakfast of Champions but not as good as Slaughterhouse-5

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 09:05 AM

Breakfast of Champions is brilliant. Has anyone read Timequake? THat's really good too.

asdf 06-12-2005 09:06 AM
I just read Bluebeard. It's as good as Breakfast of Champions but not as good as Slaughterhouse-5
I started reading bluebeard last summer, then I realized that I should probably read breakfast of champions first. I didn't like breakfast of champions so much, though.
Slaughterhouse five = :thumb:

AIRIC 06-12-2005 09:57 AM

TAND 06-12-2005 10:26 AM
Yes and yes.
oh what a badass. don't get caught.

AIRIC 06-12-2005 10:27 AM

yeah, where do you work?

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 10:33 AM

I'm like a caretaker on Sundays at a foreign language school. I just have to walk round evry 30 minutes or so to make sure no-ones breaking anything and people who aren't students don't get in. Other than that I can do what I want.

AIRIC 06-12-2005 10:34 AM

Haha awesome. What do you mean by people aren't students that are getting in?

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 10:36 AM

Only students of the school are allowed into the school. SOmetimes students from other schools try to get in.

I get paid around $16 per hour.

AIRIC 06-12-2005 10:39 AM

That's awesome.

TAND 06-12-2005 10:40 AM

sketchyjoe 06-12-2005 10:40 AM

Rancid Dan 06-12-2005 10:41 AM
