I can't stand GWAR's music...either way it's still a gimmick.

Lazybassplr56 04-18-2006 03:54 PM
Eww, you like them?
Shah brah. They is da hardist shit I've ever hured.

Lazybassplr56 04-18-2006 03:55 PM

The grand daddy's of gimmicks is Kiss.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-18-2006 04:01 PM

I dont think Justin knows what a gimmick is if he doesnt think those bands are gimmicks

40 oz 2 freedom 04-18-2006 04:03 PM

I pre-ordered the Thursday cd

RetiredAt21 04-18-2006 04:08 PM
I dont think Justin knows what a gimmick is if he doesnt think those bands are gimmicks
Dude, I don't know anything right now. Ask me later what a gimmick is.

NewKindofArmy03 04-18-2006 04:24 PM

Can't wait to see Limp Wrist again in the summer.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 04:49 PM

New Thursday is amazing.

whiteminority 04-18-2006 06:23 PM
New Thursday is amazing.
Very true. Track 9, I think that's the one, was my favorite, it is way better than WATT which is a big plus.

kingdead 04-18-2006 06:28 PM

Someone tell me theyve made tracks 2 and 4 off that leaked 5 track demo into album tracks. If the whole records upto that quality then itll be easily the best thing Thursday have done.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 06:54 PM

Trust me, it's not.

kingdead 04-18-2006 07:04 PM

Gay. The Guitar on those two tracks gives me a total boner, from a musical rather than technical aspect. Something totally rare.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 07:09 PM

I don't remember which songs where which on the demo, but there are atleast 2 tracks from the demo on it that I remember. I only listened once. The song At This Velocity is from the demo, the one that is like "500 ft per second..." in a screamy voice.

kingdead 04-18-2006 07:13 PM

Yeh, I wasnt really into that one, the two im into are 2 and 4, the quieter tracks.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 07:14 PM

They might be on it then, there are a good amount of quieter tracks. I'm soulseek if you want it, same name as here.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-18-2006 07:27 PM

New Outbreak track is different but I'm feelin it

whiteminority 04-18-2006 07:39 PM

Yeah it's good, they don't sound as fucking pissed as they did on You Make Us Sick.

kingdead 04-18-2006 07:45 PM

Goddamn.

Telegraph avenue kiss has nothing on the Demo version (track 2).

Nothing.

Edit: Neither has Autumn leaves revisited (demo 4). Over production is gay.

obese_breasts 04-18-2006 07:53 PM

don't know if any one has mentioned it but the new Ignite is awesome.

kingdead 04-18-2006 07:55 PM

Truth.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 08:18 PM

So far it's my favorite album of '06.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 08:20 PM

No Reiner, cause you forgot that Hawthorne Heights came out this year.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 08:30 PM

Didn't like no one buy the album? I remember Victory was getting all pissy over it.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 08:35 PM

Yeah, I bought multiple copies to compensate but alas

AndreTheHyena 04-18-2006 08:36 PM
Andre, you like Drive-By Truckers right?

I'm in love
Fuck yeah, dude. New record dropped today, I gotta go tomorrow and pick it up. I saw them in Nashville and they played a goddamn 3 hour set, covered the Jim Carroll Band and Neutral Milk Hotel...

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 08:39 PM
Yeah, I bought multiple copies to compensate but alas
Hahahah.

40 oz 2 freedom 04-18-2006 08:40 PM

I dunno why I never listened to them until recently. They're everything I like about country.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 08:41 PM

yeah im high as ****

AndreTheHyena 04-18-2006 08:42 PM

They're pretty much one of the coolest bands of the past decade, and every single album is gold. Which ones have you heard?

40 oz 2 freedom 04-18-2006 08:45 PM

The Dirty South and Decoration Day, I've been listening to both pretty non-stop.

Dirty South is my favorite.

Them and Black Sabbath have been dominating me lately.

RetiredAt21 04-18-2006 09:07 PM

The song Black Sabbath freaks me out.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-18-2006 09:08 PM

New Thursday is growing on me. That Counting Down song still sucks.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 09:10 PM

IT sucks real hard. Save for the Much Too Late To Call The Doctor part. That part is amazing.

kingdead 04-18-2006 09:17 PM

Yeh, the least Thursday-y tracks are actually the better ones.

The whole second half of the record is kinda awesome.

cbmartinez 04-18-2006 09:19 PM

Dude, yes. I've been calling Running From The Rain and The Lovesong Writer since the day I saw them in December. I made myself memorize those songs so I would remmeber when they came out. THe last three tracks are amazing.

Lazybassplr56 04-18-2006 09:23 PM

There so much new music peaking out from the ground right now. My head's going to explode.

Thursday
Outbreak
Sinking Ships
The Bronx

(F.Y.I. the new Bronx stuff isn't that great.)

Lazybassplr56 04-18-2006 09:24 PM
New Thursday is growing on me. That Counting Down song still sucks.
Ya I'm not liking that one either. Go figure it's going to be the first single.

faith and fiction 04-18-2006 09:29 PM

I just heard that recover CD that came out like a year ago. That's new to me and it's awesome

kingdead 04-18-2006 09:31 PM

Running from the rain has an awesome Silver mt zion feel to it.

faith and fiction 04-18-2006 09:46 PM

I have to take this standardized test tomorrow and I have to pass it in order to graduate...but the thing is that it's over Algebra 2 and I haven't taken the class yet.

Basically I'm detined to not graduate.
