maybe your results got lost or destroyed somewhere along the lines, and you'll have to do all your exams again....
I really doubt that.

tehnub 08-08-2006 04:38 AM
I really doubt that.

you be welcome...are you expecting particulary good results, by any chance?
I dont mean to be big headed, but yes.

Phill, I think I'm the only one today. England get theirs on the 24th.

tehnub 08-08-2006 04:55 AM

Bah I'm sure you'll do fine, don't let it worry you...:)

Phill 08-08-2006 04:59 AM

:p /didn't do a/as levels
i went to college instead and did music, thankgod
proper a-levels would have drove me personally, a bit mad

Dead Star 08-08-2006 05:02 AM

These are only my Standard Grades, which is the equivalent of GCSEs.

I'm not too worried, most were pretty easy.

tehnub 08-08-2006 05:03 AM

oh right, gcse is a bit different from a levels :)

Dead Star 08-08-2006 05:05 AM

A lot easier.

I got my national insurance number in this morning too.

/Can now legally work.

Phill 08-08-2006 05:14 AM

Illegal work>Legal work

Dead Star 08-08-2006 05:16 AM
Same here.
what college did you go to?

meh, i guess i'm not as academic as i used to be
understood about the nodes, basically just another term for harmonics eh
makes sense it does

Mr. Black 08-08-2006 05:52 AM

Is Music a good thing to do for GCSE?

tehnub 08-08-2006 05:53 AM

generally speaking, no

jpshortstuff 08-08-2006 05:57 AM

i found Music GCSE alright, listening exam is mainly common sense, italien words and opinion. compositions were very free choice aswell. mind you i haven't got my results yet so i might have failed horribly.

Jev 08-08-2006 06:00 AM

Music was crap for me because we had the worst teacher ever. Her idea of teaching was reading out of a basic revision book...
Music was crap for me because we had the worst teacher ever. Her idea of teaching was reading out of a basic revision book...
back to the old name eh?

yeah, the second teacher we had focused way too much on the experimental music section, let the coursework take far too long and spent all the last term doing practice questions from this book.

Jev 08-08-2006 06:10 AM

Man, that's nearly exactly what happened to us. Just replace experimental with Blues.

jpshortstuff 08-08-2006 06:14 AM

not only did we not learn enopugh on what we needed to, but we had to listen to fuck loads of serialist pieces, which, quite frankly, are seriously balls.

teacher we had for the first year was actually pretty good,. she set us a deadline the courswork early in February (leaving time to fix things before submitting), and she did enough practice on several different subjects. unfortunatly she went and got pregnant and was replaced.

AG 08-08-2006 06:15 AM

I didn't do music at GCSE, thank god.

I went to Middlesbrough College, easiest course ever. The uni one is a bit harder, but seeing the amount of work people do in the other courses, the music one is a totally mickey.

Dead Star 08-08-2006 06:55 AM

Turns out my results were sent to the wrong address. Scotland uses a weird system, of numbers instead of letters, 1 being an A, 2 being a B and so on.

I got:
Chemistry: 1
Maths: 1
English :1
Computing : 2
Craft and Design : 2
Geography : 2
Graphics : 2
Physics : 2

ama pleased with that :D

PAJJ 08-08-2006 07:03 AM

That's pretty good, well done.

Afternoon people

Ha! You phayled physics.

AG 08-08-2006 07:23 AM

If a B is a fail, I failed everything but English.

Good job it isn't a fail really.

tehnub 08-08-2006 07:24 AM

If B is a fail, most people would be screwed

AG 08-08-2006 07:37 AM

I'm gonna be drunk tonight.

2 pints of Kopparberg Mixed Fruits Cider
The last third of the bottle of Bulleit Bourbon + coke

Yay.

Erg, Kopparberg is the worst cider i have had.

My mate swears by it, and one time we was in 'spoons he baught me a bottle of the pear one, and it was awefull. The apple not so bad.

AG 08-08-2006 07:59 AM

TBH, the pear and apple are horrible.

The mixed fruit one is the only one worth having. It isn't on the menu at spoons, but they always have some in the fridge.

Untitled 08-08-2006 08:10 AM

Ah right, ive never had the mixed one, maybe i will try it one day.

I ususaly drink Magners, are Gaymers or some stuff like that in spoons, nothing beats strongbow cirrus though.

/loves his cider.

2muchket! 08-08-2006 08:13 AM

The mixed fruit cider I had was quite nice. As fro the other one I wouldn't clean my drains with it.

I might buy some of that Kronenbourg Blanc I heard it's a good drink.

AG 08-08-2006 08:15 AM

GAYmers.

Hehe.

I don't like proper cider, yuck.

Auberge le Mouton Noir 08-08-2006 08:38 AM
If a B is a fail, I failed everything but English.

yeah but the alliteration!

To me, C is a fail because anything I got a C in I'd probably need to resit. B isn't a fail.
