It's pretty slow because it tries to make everything pretty and I've probably had more crashes.

I know you can turn off the pretty stuff, but I'm not a fukan computer programmer.

that's not really true unless your PC is already really clogged with stuff. 2 gigs+ will have tons of **** running flawlessly

You don't need to be a computer programmer to turn off the pretty interface. Right click desktop > personalize > change theme to windows standard.

This is nothing, there was a point where nobody would post for like 2 or three hours.

As for Vista... I have 2 gigs so everything runs pretty fast and I like it better than XP. However, there are a couple compatibility issues every once in a while.

This seems to be a fairly brisk night compared to some the past couple of months.

We have like 4 gigs on my desktop.

So you're basically agreeing with me. And 1 GB was the standard for laptops last summer, I tried for one with 2 GB but they were way more expensive then.

idk not really. If I spend 700 dollars on a new computer, I shouldn't have to turn a good number of things off or spend more money to upgrade my computer just to get it to work properly.

I'm not really that against it except all of the security stuff it did initially.
